What do we need playerwise that JJ could bring us?

From Farmers Branch, home of the 50,000-watt force of logical, accurate and supreme truth, a question for the astute and a muse for the cranially deficient. Next, Bethlehem Pagent is Cancelled, What Now? and Andy's Adventures in Rabbit Farming.

Boys, it has dawned on me, that, yes, you hooligans are probably right.

JJ will be on the trading block. jerra, um, I mean Wade likes MB and JJ's what-do-voluntary-mean attitude probably did not sit well in Valley Ranch.

Alas, I had high hopes for this kid who hailed from the hallowed and haloed halls of hard-driven Notre Dame and the Holy Hiberians of HibanInicth.

But back to JJ.

This son of a miner (and i mean the mom) was studious and serious and said all the right things.

Then he met Bill Parcells, Satan in man boobs clothes, and his self-esteem plummeted faster than a breakfast sausage gulped by Larry Allen after a night at the white house. And that house didn't have no Lincoln room.

Now, my esteemed hooligan brethren, if we were to trade JJ, a promising rb from the hallowed and haloed halls of Notre Dame, what position would Jer .. . I mean Wade Philips try for?

I am guessing jerra and wade go for linebacking depth or and a starter.

Another RB.

MBIII won't last the season as the primary RB toughing the ball 25 times a game.

FWIW, I don't see JJ being traded.

So studious he was asked to leave the hallowed and haloed halls of hard-driven Notre Dame :lmao:

Its not even worth trading him. A mediocre runningback in a contract year isnt going to get you more than a salary dump and an autographed football.

Ummm... MBIII could be the feature back. FWIW. There is no evidence at all to suggest otherwise. I'm not for or against the move... just saying. I will say this: MBIII is the more complete player by FAR at this point in his career and shows a willingness to do what it takes to be better in all facets of his game. JJ is the more talented guy, but something is missing- maybe he finds it this year maybe not. McFadden might be the MAN next year, but one thing is clear, when all is said and done, MBIII will still be a Cowboy and Julius probably won't be.

JJ's not going anywhere. The 2 back system's worked pretty well for us, so why so eager to get rid of him? Now if we are in position to draft either McFadden or Slaton, I can see us letting JJ walk.

If Battle shows anything, I can see us trading Thompson tho. I think he can be a decent #2 for a lot of teams, but here he's buried in the depth chart. It's a good problem to have.

All I've heard Wade talk about regarding RBs is Julius Jones. He seems to have big plans for him, including getting him more involved in the passing game.

In fact I haven't heard him talk about MBIII at all in any of his press conferences.

And the fact that JJ showed up to camps in really good shape pretty much gets rid of the fact that he didn't work out at the facility. Reports are he got his workout routine from Jurasek anyway. Wade didn't have a problem with it.

Julius stays on this team. At least for this year.

There's no way we trading Julius Jones this year. Tenden works pretty good although I want more consistent running from Jones particularly in those 3rd down situations where we falter against the better teams and thus forced to rely on our passing game.

If we trade Jones, our opponents will just clog their defenses cause Barber lacks the speed of a Jones. Also if Barber gets hurt, do we really want to rely on TT. Quick way for any legit playoff hopes to go down the drain.

Our running backs imo will be utilized similiar to last season

In the sense of a two back system yes. All this talk about liking JJ as a pass catcher suggests that he is going to get a little more of a look on 3rd downs. If JJ is out there more on 3rd then MBIII likely gets an extra series or two each game instead of working mostly on 3rd.

What if Julius Jones has a great year and we are setting there early in the draft with McFadden available at our pick? What would you do?

Unless we sign him to an extension it won't matter. He won't be on our roster.

I hope JJ gets more carries. He is going to be more dynamic of a rusher this season due to him cutbacking more, and he is going to need mroe carries to have more chances carrying the rock to score or get a chunk of yardage. I say if we have the lead at the end of the game don't let JJ touch the ball; just let Barber pound it inside and run out the clock.

Two months ago, I wanted JJ out of here; now I really think we are not going to get anything of value from him leaving and I think we will be worse off. Besides, I say give him this last year to prove that he is a player.

If he can't get motivated enough or have the talent enough to get 1300 plus yards and 35 plus catches (hoping) then we know not to resign him; he isn't worth it then. Then we know that he just can't do it.

And I thought since JJ was still on the roster after the draft, we wouldn't see any.......trade JJ............posts.
Well, wishful thinking on my part........:bang2:

So what is worse, a trade JJ post or someone who just takes up space here to whine about reading something they did not want to read?

No one forced you to read it. No one forced you to respond. But you did. One more thing to which to beat your pear-shaped head against a wall.
