Both probowlers - the backfield is crowded now with 3 backs - just throwing it out there to get some opinions.
I think that is an intriguing idea.
What some on this board believe is that
1. Your proposed trade implies that Barber is not a good player.
Wrong.
2. Some henny pennies on this thread flat out say it's not gonna happen.
And we all know that T.O. and PacMan and Deion never happened, either.
3. Some think we need to keep these sterling RBs intact.
And nobody disagrees with that. It's just that giving up something valuable in return is the cost of doing business. And getting something valuable in return.
Boldin, temperment aside, is a perfect fit across from Williams. Now teams would respect us with this alignment. The defensive line suddenly becomes of secondary import and -- BOOM Felix and Tashard strike.
Naw, don't never say never, nervous nellies.
Don't dare to dream.
You naysayers take the pessimistic approach. Be static. Think the status quo. That, and the weak and passionless Clown Wade Phillips, will get you 9-7 seasons and maybe not getting into the playoffs.
Simple peeps, fer godsakes, think outiside the donut box and see this proposal for what it is. An intriguing idea that would give us a blue chip WR while we STILL retain two sterling RBs. What, you think we could get a Boldin with a Corey Proctor or Greg Ellis?
Don't hate to imagine or wonder about possible trades.
That is one of the great things about my hera Jerra. He is a visionary and puts his money where his mouth is, unlines us.
Despite what the book burners might say, it's always fun to discuss dees things with friends and fellow fighting idiots. Amen.
I must go now because I am too choked up with righteous indignations and the steroids.
