What do you think of Chris Jones and the punting?

I thought Jones was poor for the first half of the year. He was in the 20s on both gross and net yards. Then he got better towards the end of the year. But I thought we got out-punted in the Philly game, and it mattered. The team seems to like directional punting, but we never seem to hit a really long one.


When your team is 8-8 playing a lot of close games, punting matters a lot.

This team has 99 problems (70+ of them named Jerreh), but punting ain't one of them. He's gotten the job done.

He's serviceable. If they have an opportunity to upgrade they should take it, but punter should be nowhere near the top of their offseason "to do" list.
