TW was the better WR his rookie season even when Miles was 100% for those few plays.

The plan has been in place for a couple years. They have completely rebuilt the roster, mainly through the draft.

they have a solid chance to build a Super Bowl contender.

This my friend is priceless. Just classic.

"completely rebuilt the roster, mainly through the draft" and yet we had a defense that would have had trouble stopping the Little Sisters of the Poor.

People can say what they want. I'm not wearing rose colored glasses or all that but believe it or not we are very close to being a power house.

This team with all the problems they have can play with any team and be in the game. Defense becomes average say top 18 I think we win 4-5 more games.

I thought about it, offense for the most part is tough to stop. Running the ball more would help, and OL played very well. Still want a OG and OT and maybe a speed demon RB/WR.

Defense could use any position there at every level. CB being the least but front 7 and a FS to pair with Wilcox is main mission number 1. DL, DL, LB, DL, FS, DL, OG, OT, DL

A plan? Seriously?

Look at the brain trust. Does that look guys with a plan or more like a modern day version of the 3 stooges?

When I look at those 3, Im amazed really, I mean Im sitting here scratching my head and my *** wondering how we even got to 8-8 the last 3 years.

Jerry and his idol, the one he has modeled his franchise after and you ask if there is a plan? C'mon man!

Almost the entire offense(Witten and Romo) have less than 3 years as starters. The entire back 7 on the Defense is the same. They were counting on their veteran DLine to produce. But go ahead and completely disregard the injuries. They didn't happen. Because your joke was just too funny not to make. Nice try though.

Drafted starters-Offense- Dez, TWill, Beasely, Free, Fred, Leary, TSmith, Romo, Witten, Murray
Defense- Crawford, Bass, Ware, Lee, Carter, Holloman, Scandrick, Claiborne, Church, Wilcox

I know what you're saying. We've picked up some good guys in the draft lately. But then there is the product on the field. Im a life long Cowboy fan. 40+ years. With this present 17 year run I like so many others am left with 2 options basically - cry or laugh. Im too numb to it all to cry anymore, so the best medicine is to laugh. Laughing is the best way to cope with this mess Jerry is responsible for in his pursuit to prove that he can do it his way.

I think too many fans spend too much time in here where everything is Apocalypto. I think there are more options than crying and being numb. I enjoy rooting for my team and if they are competing for the Division then they are doing OK. I would like them to win more, but I don't demand it or feel entitled to it.

I like the path they are on and I like Garrett. I think they are closer to than farther away from big success. Call me a homer, so what, too many people 'hate-watch' their favorite teams and are always unhappy even when they win. People here were actually rooting against making the playoffs last year. I say good luck with that approach, it sounds miserable.

Actually I don't agree with Austin being a June 1st cut, he's still the best WRer we have has far as I'm concerned. Plus he's a good friend of Romo's, Cowboys will find a way to keep him on the team.

Go home Hawk, you're drunk.

As a Cowboy fan I feel somewhat entitled to winning on a regular basis. Its simply how things should be! It was the norm for years. My homerism has waned. I like Red _ but this year I came to the conclusion that with all the praise and accolades he most likely doesnt have what it takes to get this team to get it done on the field. The NFL is full of great coaches, its how they got where they are. The NFL is not full of coaches that have great success when it comes to winning on the field. Look at Marinelli on our staff - great guy, great coach. However, in Detroit as the HEAD COACH he didnt get great results. He isnt the exception but more the rule. Red has shown nothing in 3 1/2 yrs in game situations to show that he has what it takes to coach a team that wins on the field. Shown nothing but a guy the players like and a guy that can work with Jerry. And it'll take more than that to get this team where it rightfully belongs.

Seems you are in the minority on this, We haven't done much in years...I agree Miles needs to take a pay cut to help the Cowboys. I say trade what's his name and keep the guy who can actually run the right routes. Not to mention he gets open to help his QB and blocks down field. Oh gee you don't see him acting like a child either.

I do like Caribbean rum though, and I live in Corozal if you ever get off your couch come and visit me.

Miles Austin beat the single game record of Bobby Hayes against KC but it should be noted he did it in overtime.

I think we all agree Austin will be a June 1 cut. Romo, Lee, Scandrick will restructure. I think they will have to restructure Carr too. As far as Ware, I know there is always a chance he gets back to being a good pass rusher maybe even great again, but I don't think the gamble is worth his current money. I would be very shocked if he gets cut. I think if he shows ANY flexibility at all he stays. Jerry is way too loyal to aging players.
I like Ware but I do think cutting him would show some growth inJerry the GM. Pittsburgh generally would rather cut a guy a year too soon than 2 years too late as we do. What do you think they do with their roster before they start free agency?

Mike Tyson says everybody has a plan, until they get punched in he mouth.

I agree.

Cutting Austin would be a worst case scenario. I think both he and the Cowboys can work out a pay cut arrangement that would benefit both parties.
