From the press conference?

We all have questions about the team, what would you like answered - honestly - from the head man of the Dallas Cowboys? Write 'em down. Apparently some media people read here, maybe they'd ask your question if given the chance, instead of fluff about Parcells' relationship with Bob Knight.

Riveting......

I'll go first.

One of the most effective things you can do on defense is confuse the QB. Many times, when your team is blitzing, the blitz is shown roughly 3-4 seconds before the snap, giving the line and QB plenty of time to identify and adjust protection. Is this the players mistake, giving the play away too early, or is that how they're being coached to do it?

My question would be for the PC after the season ends - if, that is, BP gives one this year.

"Do you plan on making any coaching changes this coming year, esp. on the defensive side on the ball?"

2nd question

"How do you plan on getting consistent pressure on the QB in 2007?" "Is it through FA acquisitions or a change in scheme, or a bit of both?"

In comments from Terrence Newman, he indicated that there were some players who were talking the talk but not walking the walk. He also indicated that he could tell during warm ups whether it was going to be a good day or a bad day by the way the players were acting. If he can see it, why can't you? If you do see it, why then don't you sit their @#%es down? It can't be any worse than the performance they gave on Monday.

What is your relationship w/ TO? (I'm joking...)

How come you can't get your guys motivated for big games? The Saints and Eagles came into your house and embarrassed you. They had chips on their shoulders and dared you to knock it off. Any chance you can fire up the team in time for the playoffs or do you have to look at the film?

Also, teams seem to adjust after halftime, how come it never looks like the Boys make any?

He might get distraught if you start asking about next year already, lol.

Those are both annoying to us, although the players said they were fired up, and kind of exhibited it early. They don't seem to have a ton of fight in them, which I don't understand. Just playing high school ball, or heck, even a pick-up game on christmas day, if your team sucks, and is blowing everything, personally I have always taken the initiative to hammer the guy opposite me, so he at least knows that I was there, that day. Team's got a weak chin.

We do seem to get beat by the same things after halftime that we got beat by before halftime.

How about......Why does it seem that TO is constantly running on the out of bounds line?

He gets pushed out easily and if he does not there is not much room for Romo to get the ball into him.

This has been happening all year, why not correct this through coaching or better yet have him run some slant routes that he has made famous on other teams?

He is a 33 year old WR you really think a coach has to tell him to stay in bounds? Come on this is not high school these guys are suppose to be Pro Football players who have been doing this for many years. These players need to shut their pie hole and do their jobs for a change.

Super......I think the reason that we get beat after halftime the same way we did before the half is that we are running the same scheme. We don't adjust to who we are playing. This works when you have Aikman, Smith, and Irvin in their prime but not when you don't.

this is a good question.....why don't the Cowboys scheme around the team they are playing and adjust at half time if it is not working?

Agreed and now you are the coach! He has been doing it all season and good teams are shutting him down because of it. What do you do?

He really does havea point, though. We know what Owens does best. Everyone does, so why are we not doing that? Fitting square pegs in round holes just makes things harder.

If I'm Parcells my practice session are going to be long this week I would have this team put in a lot more time and start jumping players who can't seem to keep focus on the job at hand. If he still can't do it then bench him for a few series. Unlike some I'm not overly impressed with the job Owens has done. He has lousy hands and can't seem to run a simple go rout. Top it off you have to hear him whine after the game. Sooner we get rid of this head case the better off sorry but he is not that damn good.

Despite it all, he's been our best offensive player. I hate his deal, but that's part of the package, I guess. If we're gonna be putting up with it, might as well use the heck out of him.

Owens played the WCO in SF and Philly this is not the WCO and either he adjust to what we are doing or he needs to go. This offense is not all about getting the ball to Owens and thus far he is not breaking tackles for big plays when we do through the quick hitters to him.

I don't know if throughout his career that he has a history of this but if he can't fight off with his bad hands then he is going to get pushed more to the outside. That is what it looks like to me.

What you are saying is very interesting and compelling but when you have and unbelievable weapon like Owens it is not such a bad idea to make exceptions.

Yes, I know they are throwing alot of balls to this guy, but too many times, we let defenses take this guy out of the ball game early.

Again, I have said this a million times. They keep showing the arm band Romo wears which houses the plays, I personally think at least 40% of those should be a special play for Owens.

That's a stretch, but you are paying this guy a lot of money and he is a playmaker, so you sometimes have to make concessions and be a little bit more creative in getting him the ball.

Me-Owens is troublesome and quite childish, that is why you make his ARSE work on every play and make him earn his pay check.

That is just it, Owen has not shown himself as a playmaker, when Dallas has needed the big play in clutch time it has not been Owens getting the job done it has been others making the big plays. I know many will point to his stats but a lot of those stats have come in less than meaningful situations. This is not Irvin who when this team needed some one to step up he did so. Evidently unless we force the ball to Owens early he is worthless late in games pretty much using his own words. I expect Owens to adjust to this what this offense does not have 10 others adjust to Owens.
