in football terms u always hear this team or Player has Heart... the greatest "Heart" performance I have seen by the Cowboys was the 94 NFC Champioship game... the most recent would have to be the last years MNF game v. Iggs when BP brother died!!!

it seems like this teams Heart died with that game!!!

I disagree. Since that game we've had great wins over the Chiefs, Panthers, Colts and Giants, to name a few.

He referenced since our Monday night win against Philly last year. We beat the Chiefs in 2005 in a tremendous back and forth game.

"Heart" imo, in a team sport means an all-for-one, one-for-all attitude that transcends individual talent, goals, or desires. Some of the players with 'heart' are lunch-pail types, some have top calibre pedigrees...but they all have one thing in common - they are clutch and they qualify as over-achievers in one way or another.

They find a way to overcome, not a million ways to fail. As individuals, and as a team, they play thru and with pain, eyes on the prize always, and unselfishly...for each other.

You got it.

I think our "problem" right now is they are all so young and need some more "bonding" time.

Its a relatively new group and must get to know one another and respect each other.

A leader wouldnt hurt either.

leaving it all on the field, puking in the locker room cause you have nothing left to give and just walking back to your locker is more than your body can deal with, thats heart to me.

Yes, he is playing with some serious mental issues....but he plays like a guy with no heart and he admitted to it when he said that he "isn't all there" because they didn't get him involved "early and often".

Are you a T.O. backer at any length? It certainly seems so. I guess the guy can do no wrong. T.O. = no heart.

Well you did speak of playing injured, did you not?

The guy might not ever be able to bend his finger correctly EVER again.

When you have the talent, it boils down to concentration, clutch play, and pure execution. This includes coaches, and play calling. IMO, the Boys just don't have the talent on the offensive or defensive line. They also are lacking greatness in the ILB area and safety areas.

If you look at the Ravens, their defense is completely stocked with talent.

Bingo. We need better guards and DE's. A free safety and another pass rushing OLB would help also.

T.O. uses his busted hand or hands as an excuse to fail and wants credit for showing up in games but not producing much. Emmitt used his injurys as a platform to overcome and succeed.

I agree.

I just needed a little clarification.

Heart isnt just playing injured.

Its wanting to win for your teammates before yourself.

Its having pride in a team game.

Emmitt did it for the team.. now if only TO had a different perspective.

Yes that is another excellent example of what heart is, selflessness, something foreign to T.O.
