What exactly did the Skins give up for Duckett?

...a third and fourth rounder, but there are draft escalators based on performance and finishing record.

They got jacked! Duckett looks like crap, no wonder Atlanta only used him in goaline situations and traded him away.

Reminds me of our trading for O.J. Santiago.

Hmm, note to self: Don't trade valuable picks for initialed players from Atlanta.

Anyway, what a horrible pickup. By the way, did Archuleta even play tonight? Talk about Mr. Invisible. At least he's paid well. :)

Isn't minimum wage on the skins like 4 million a year? That of course would be their rookie minimum if they ever get any more rookies. Prolly out of picks until 2021. LOL

We gave up a 3rd rounder.

If we finish with a better record then the Broncos then we give them a 4th as well.

If we finish worse then the Broncos then we swap first round picks. (Looking more likely...)

He's not slow btw, he ran a 4.45 outta college.

He's big and slow as hell. Didn't they give up a draft pick?

I think it was a $117 bajillion in signing bonus and dibs on the PS2 at Danny's house.

Duckett isn't slow. No RB looks fast when they have nothing but a big pile to run into.

Portis wouldn't of done much better.

This is one of the hidden beauties of this season. If the skins stink and end up with a top 10 pick, they have to swap it with Denver's pick and with the way Ducket looked, they may not even want to resign him. Can you imagine having to go from say the 8th pick to the 21st pick for a player not even on the team anymore and who did nothing for the 1 year he was on the team?

I get your point...Even better a 4th for a 28th pick. How many draft points is that ? Enough for a high 1st ?

Too bad they are in our division so we don't normally trade with them. Wonder what we could have gotten for Kenyon Kincaid...

The trade is for the equivalent of an early third rounder.

At this point, the most likely scenario looks to be that the Broncos will get just the Skins 3rd rounder in 2007. The Skins could easily be 2-6 at the midpoint of the season. Their next 6 games and my projected favorite:

@Houston (Washington favored)
Jacksonville (Jacksonville favored)
@NY Giants (Giants favored)
Titans (Washington favored)
@Colts (Colts favored)
Bye
Dallas (Dallas favored)

A lot can happen, and getting Springs and Portis back will certainly help, but they have a pretty tough row to hoe. I think they really need to win 2 of the next four to prevent a team meltdown. A record of 1-5 heading into Indy would be disastrous.

If the Skins earn the 4th pick, Denver will get just the 3rd round pick (around the 68th pick in the draft).
