I missed my Coley Cole and his money first down receptions. No way the Lions lousy DBS shut everyboy down. Beasley should've shined yesterday.

Manhandled physically over the middle early on and then that was it.
It's a shame, because Dallas needed an easy out due to the heavy pressure, and if anything, you can usually count on him to get some separation.

Beasley isn't ready to be a #3 WR yet, easily being thrown around and out the play. He is great in the role we had for him, 4th WR where noone concentrates on him at all, and it should always be a huge deal when you try to move a WR up the depth chart. It was just like TWill dropping all those passes yesterday, as a #3 TWill is fine, but as a #2 not so much at the moment.

I feel like I'm repeating myself about this, but people just don't realize how difficult the position is to play or how hard it is to just move a guy up the depth chart at this point. Seems like we would've learned our lesson with Crayton, but I guess not.

This is a much better team with either Austin or one of the TEs stepping up to the role behind Witten and Dez, and right now that hasn't happened yet.

It's simple.

If you can get pressure with four down lineman, you can shut down what this Cowboys offense can do. If not, you'll get ripped to pieces.

The Cowboys have GOT to find a running game.

lol

Romo couldn't hit the broad side of a barn yesterday.. you can't expect him to hit a little guy like Cole when he's playing like that.

I don't remember the exact time in the game but it was a crucial 4th quarter 3rd down. Bease ran a great route and was wide open for the first but tony got immediate pressure and had to throw the ball away.

I said during the game yesterday that a healthy Austin (I know, dream on) could have made them pay in the slot yesterday.

The throw to Dez for the late touchdown was absolutely perfect.

Romo took a beating. No quarterback could have withstood that and been pinpoint accurate.

Harris also dropped a perfectly placed pass in the 3rd that ended a drive. So did Williams.

Back on point I missed Coley Cole too yesterday

WR is a position where everyone thinks its just easy to plug some guy in who they saw catch a few passes. Yes I agree with you, Austin would've helped us loads in this game when they were doubling Witten and Dez, while TWill was dropping balls cause hes not used to the pressure of being the #2 WR (3rd option).

Romo needs weapons to be successful, its not like he is Aaron Rodgers or Brees. Sure you can look at those QBs who have a tendency to make no name guys something, but Romo isn't those guys. He needs alot around him for that success, and that will take him having guys in the role that truly fit not just making someone something they aren't.

We needed Austin desperately in that game, hopefully he can come back soon or one of the TEs step up.......cause the WRs (TWill and Beasley) just aren't quite ready yet, and its not like they will be ready at the same exact time anyway. You would rather them be ready before we move them up, than after we move them up cause after would be bad for us in wins and losses.

Harris is a great special teams player for us, and can fill in at WR......but the time has passed to think he will be anything more than that. Chicago thought they could make Hester into a dominant WR, didn't happen.....I don't see Harris as anything more than I see Hester at this point except his not as good of returner as Hester.

Actually he is a way better returner than Hester the last two years. Way better.

Harris is the best STer in the NFL right now. But you're right he hasn't stepped up as a WR.

Well I meant in his prime, Hester was better. Of course now, he is older and not the same player.

Where I have the issue is that we try to force players into a role they can't handle here all the time at WR. It just has to change, course we do that in alot of position groups on this team, so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Agreed. I actually think we should be finding a WR right now. Austin will never be reliably healthy. We need a 3rd/4th guy to go along with The Beas. Keep Harris on ST and an occasional gadget play on offense.

Do NOT help propel this "Coley Cole" movement! Please, do it for me?
