What Happened To Jason Hatcher This Year?

One name that I have not heard from in a long time was Jason Hatcher. Last year, he seemed to be turning into a good player and thought he see more playing time. What happened to Jason Hatcher this year?

Honestly, I didn't see enough of him to have an informed opinion, but he was our insurance policy against letting Canty go. Probably not great that we don't know what we've got there after 3 years.

Hatcher made plays when they gave him time on the field... I believe he's going to start next year because Spears is a goner.

Did not do much but how many shots did he have? If Spears or Canty are gone then he MAYBE moves in. But it looks like the Rat will be starting at DE instead (of course assuming we get a real NT).

maybe they wanted him bigger to be better at stopping the run. but he seemed to lose his explosiveness.

what i don't understand is bowen.

he has such great closing speed, just accelerates into the qb.

but why can't he have a good first step like ratliff into the oline?

Yeah, I thought he did fine for a backup. Seems like he didn't show much early, but did better as the year went on.

You never know, he might do just fine as a starter next to Ratliff. Probably hard to do much when Tank "I'm Anything But a Beast" is NT next to you.

I'm so hoping they move Ratliff to DE and put either Hatcher or Canty at the other end. Dallas needs to draft a true NT like the kid from Alabama, Mount Cody. He's rumored to be a 2nd round pick.

Problem with Hatcher is he is on the small side for a 3-4 DE. He is listed at 6'6 and 298.

Agree! But I don't think you can have both guys around 300LB's taken on 330 LB Offensive lineman, all day.

Hatcher has not done squat for the last TWO seasons, ever since Stewart injured him in the 2007 offseason.

Stewart was almost fired before he even got started. Jerry did not like his thoroughbreds to be ridden hard, at least not without warming them up first.
