Haven't heard any other news, but haven't really been listening or watching much either.
But you know GB will not be forthcoming about his possibility to play this week.

Jordy Nelson???

He was hit - after he stayed down so long - I'm thinking cracked ribs.
appears he broke his ribs but nothing official yet. He got hit hard, while extending for the ball and took a helmet right to his mid section. He should watch some Witten footage on how to go about playing in the NFL with some broken ribs.

That was a classic definition of spearing and leading with the crown of the helmet. That should have been a personal foul penalty.

Yeah, that was a tough one for the refs to call.
Call it because it was the right thing to do, or if at all questionable, call it becasue it helps GB.
Or don't call it because it helps NY, and the fear of Mara / Goodell coming down on them out weighed making the right call.

The refs will be back to their GB favoritism next week...

Looks like their big RB strained some ligaments in his knee on that play where he set the ball on the ground. He might be
quite iffy for the game this week as well. Of course, as long as Rogers is upright and slinging the ball to all parts of the field,
the game this weekend will be a nailbiter.

The Packers probably X-ray'd him at the field & know that he does or doesn't have broken ribs at this point. He looked pretty bad being carted off - painful to breathe, much less receive.

Dude got busted up pretty bad, I highly doubt he will be able to play next week unless he wears a flak jacket and shoots up before the game. Even then, I cant imagine him being very effective.

I'm expecting Nelson's ribs to be either seriously bruised or cracked. That helmet hit was devastating. Reports should be released soon.

Initially, after getting speared in the ribs, I thought he just had the wind knocked out of him. But, after staying down, looking dejected on the bench, getting on the cart, and not returning to the game, it had to be broken ribs. A bruise wouldn't do that to a player. Looking at his behavior sitting on the bench, he had to appearance of a player that's battled injuries, and knows that he's now out for the year.

You definitely don't want to be taking shots from Wilcox with a tender belly...just saying, and not endorsing targeting Nelson.

I hate to sound like an arse, but good. Rodgers was crap without Jordy (and a running game, that Mont has now brought them -- hopefully he's banged up to). He was regressing at an alarming rate. Then Jordy got healthy, then Montgomery started running effectively, and bam-o, dude is chucking again. Granted, Adams has emerged this year, but he's not enough. Hoping Nelson is out, and Mont is hampered.

Sorry, football Gods. Ten Hail Marys and one Lord's Prayer :)
