I didn't realize he is done for the year. Didn't he play vs St. Louis?

Wow.....my guess is that will be his last game as a Cowboys.
That is what most on this board think, but we don't make the decisons.
The staff may think differently

This is what I don't understand. He broke his arm initially and was out about 4 weeks. He breaks it again and is out for the year, with 9 weeks plus playoffs to go. How do they know? The only thing I can think of is the overall weakness and susceptability of his arm...but I'm no doctor.

your kidding me? hes been gone and teams ran ramped on us

with roy:

qb/others have ran for 48 yards on 9 attempts (even tho this falls on the linebackers shoulders) (no quarterback finished with negative numbers)

running backs ran for 125 yards on 32 attempts.

for a grand total of 169 yards on 41 attempts

with out roy:

qb/others have ran for 15 yards (two quarterbacks finished with negative numbers) on 16 attempts.

running backs finished with 408 yards on 97 attempts.

but obviously this year he has missed more games then hes played in if you want to go find out how much we allowed when he was playing last year...Our defense will MISS Roy's run stop ability

Roy isn't the only guy who got hurt and came back and was gone after 1 game. I would say get used to this because jerry is tryin to save cash! This team has too many holes to just cut Roy Williams the safety.

he found religion or something...

that's what happened..

i hope he never plays for us ever again.....i do hope he does not have a bone disease either. the fact that he broke his arm in a separate area does not sound good.

i appreciate the great first 4 years he had for us though...man he could hit and make plays once upon a time.

Roy Williams is a COMPLETE non-factor versus the run. He had a grand total of 12 tackles for 3 or fewer yards against the run last year (in 15 games--that's 0.8 per game).

ok. granted thats not pretty. but do you think a running back will want to test his luck againts roy williams or patrick watkins/dui safety from ATL/Keith Davis?

Time to let him go. He's been washed up for several years now. He's not some massive hitting/tackling machine anymore either like so manyh of the guys in denial are still preaching. We will replace him with a guy who is two dimensional in the offseason.
