What happened to that big record prediction poll at the very beginning of the year?

Remember what I'm talking about? The one with at least 200 votes from Zone members on what record they predicted for this year. Anyone have a link? I was wondering how optimistic or pessimistic we were going into the year. Looks like Dallas will probably finish 9-7. I think that's what most everyone picked on that thread.

EDIT: Found it!

I'm surprised everyone is so mad about the season. Looks like we're right on track with what most everyone predicted.

I'd really like to see that rehashed. That would be interesting.

Me too.

At this point it looks like I'm going to be on the mark.

I picked 10-6. I still think they can do that. We lost a huge game by a lopsided score, it happens. You guys need to get over it. If the Boys act like most of the people on this Forum, they might as well hang it up to. It's pretty embarrassing to come to this board after a loss. After a win, people are screaming Super Bowl, after a loss people are screaming "OFF WITH BILL'S HEAD". Rediculous, but funny at the same time. They have a short week to get ready for Carolina, if this team has what it takes, which I think they do, they come out w/ a big win in Carolina. If you already think the Boys have lost this game, you're not a true Cowboy fan, IMHO. This season isn't over yet, but by the looks of it, most of you think it is, lol.

I picked 10-6 and I remember thinking I was being too optimistic and should probably stick with 9 wins, but what the hey! :D Anything's possible I guess if they win 2 games in a row.

Boy, those folks who picked 12 wins must be hanging from shower rods already. Way to set up the big expectations.

Didn't we both say 8-8, 9-7 range. I know I did.

I think that our predictions were right, but our potential to do greater was there. That's the killer. That's what's frustrating everyone.

Also, we were looking at 9-7 making the playoffs last year, when this year, it won't.

After reading that thread we need to change the name of this place to...

"Homerville"

:)

Tony, even Bill said, "You are what you are".

This is not a playoff team.

Well, I won't argue with that. You really wonder what this team could have done if everyone had stayed healthy, but I'm not going to use it as an excuse because lots of teams lose players. Carolina lost their best defensive lineman and has a good chance to whip our butts and win a tough NFC South. New England lost just about half their roster and is on track again to challenge for the Super Bowl again. Minnesota lost their starting quarterback, some offensive linemen, and for a while, some defense, but came back from an 0-4 record to challenge for the Playoffs. I wish we had enough talent to get by with these injuries. I think that's the #1 reason to leave Parcells in charge. For all the stinkers, he does make some great picks, and this team is in serious need of quality depth, especially young depth.

Mike, I agree, but I guess I thought we could be something we weren't.

And who is responsible for us being "what we are?" I think the one who buys the groceries is.

You are correct sir!

I'm quickly losing patience with the current regime.

Parcells has brough in more quality players than the 10 years before him combined. I don't think people give him enough credit for that and realize how destroyed this team was with the Jerry Jones drafts. Until Parcells, the only quality free agent I can think of us grabbing, high dollar or bargain priced, was La'Roi Glover. Until Parcells, the biggest draft picks I can think of are Larry Allen, Dexter Coakley, Flozell Adams, Greg Ellis, Dat Nguyen and Roy Williams. And Roy was a gimme at that high a spot, and Larry was the first year run by Jerry, so there were a lot of bad picks in-between.

In August I figured us for 8-8, with best case at 9-7. One or two fans I know said "Why such a pessimist?". But I never counted on the shellacking yesterday at FedEx.
