On Sunday when the Cowboys host the Packers at AT&T Stadium, defensive tackle Brian Price will be allowed to do something that he couldn’t do last year as a member of the Packers’ defensive line: knock the snot out of QB Aaron Rodgers.
If Price gets a hit on Rodgers this weekend, he’ll send Cowboys’ fans into a frenzy and receive high fives from teammates and coaches. But it won’t be the first time he’s made contact with the Packers’ golden boy with the golden arm. As an undrafted rookie free agent who was fighting for a spot on the Packers roster during 2016 Training Camp, Price got a hit on Rodgers. But that’s not a good thing when it’s practice and when he’s a teammate. Franchise QBs are off-limits during practice.
“Last summer during Training Camp I bull-rushed one of the guards and knocked him into Aaron Rodgers,” recalls Price. “I fell onto both the guard and Aaron. I walked off the field and thought, ‘Oh my God, what did I just do?’”
