The only way I see Dak stinking it up is if the defense fails and puts him in a position where he has to force the ball into a sea of secondary defenders,,, you know, like they've done to Romo all these years. Outside of that I fully expect him to make rookie mistakes but play well.

If he stinks it up...and I mean Stinks...not just make the normal rookie QB mistakes but really stinks it up to the point of it looking like he has no chance at all to become a franchise QB....then we have a crappy record and get a decent draft pick next year and move on from the Dak exp.

But let's not make the mistake of calling for his head if he just makes some normal rookie QB mistakes. I mean it would be crazy to expect him to continue to put as good as numbers as he did in preseason....throughout the regular season.

If Prescott is awful Sunday and clearly not ready, then Sanchez will probably end up starting until Romo returns.

If Sanchez also stinks it up, then Prescott will probably be reinserted in the interim because Dallas will want to see if he can bounce back to give it some idea of how it needs to address the QB position next year.

If Prescott plays so-so in a loss, then he'll probably end up at least starting the second game. I don't think the Cowboys will stick with him as the starter if he loses the first couple of games ... unless he plays great and the rest of the defense is the reason we lose.
