Me and my wife have been married for 25 years. We had been married for a couple years and the Cowboys were in the NFC championship game. We had friends over and her and another lady were preparing the food. My wife cut her finger badly while opening a can. It needed stitches and I didn't know what to do. The game had just Started! She knew how much I loved the Cowboys so her friend took her to the ER to have it sewed up. She didn't get mad at me but I did feel kind of bad about it..lol
She had the nerve to ask me, "Why don't you just record it?" I almost dropped her off on the side of the lake.
Me watching football all day Sunday isn't a problem for my Japanese wife. When we first got married she asked her Japanese friends married to American guys if there was something wrong with me since I 'sat around and watched football from 1 pm to 11:30 pm'. Her friends assured her that it is 'normal' behavior and not to worry.
Trying to squeeze in college games on Saturday and Monday Night and Thursday Night games is a challenge. Needless to say, I am on my best behavior during football season. I also bribe her with Coach bags, shoes, sushi, and cook a lot for her. Making her a good cheesecake works wonders.

This is the best response so far. LOL...especially at bolded part. Hope that's not exaggerated.
My wife has come a long way in 1 season, she didn't like or understand the game at all when the season started now she yells at the screen, has favorite players and hates Weeden with a passion. She watches every sunday
My wife tends to watch the games with me. It's normally less about her wanting to see the game and more about her being amused at my various reactions. I pace, I yell, I talk to no one in particular, etc. I'm sure it's very entertaining.
