nice post. While I don't have it in me to do it myself, I do admire your optimism and glass half full mentality.

I try. It's not easy, because there's ALOT more to dislike than like. But we already have threads for those, so I'm trying to find that sliver of a silver lining. lol

The definition of function is relative. Nobody likes turnovers unless they're forced by the defense. What I liked is that the offense didn't look like it was stuck in mud the whole time. They actually moved the ball, which I think we can all agree they didn't do very well in previous games.

We had actual drives, converted 3rd downs, completed passes on 1st down, ran the ball wonderfully.....a lot of positives compared to the 3 and out parade we've seen recently.

We had one, refs blew the play dead a second too soon. The Jones was near an INT.

We are simply getting unlucky. Ball security is usually okay in Seattle, so they will come in Philly and Tampa Bay.

Forgot about that. That was a Cowboys TD. Dang they screwed us.

I can respect that, but the run game wasn't a reason the Cowboys lost today. He did well with his carries, but I just can't get up for the disappointment in not seeing more of him when they did so well.

Oh, I completely agree with what your saying. I'm not saying that he's the reason why we won or lost today. In all honesty, our run game was good. I just get personally frustrated with the build up saying that we're going to make a point to see more of him then give him 3 carries and call it a day.

All in all just a frustrating day on an easily winnable game that was again given away.

too late to even turn the season around when Romo comes back, what a wasted season after so much promise in the offseason.

Even with 3 picks we dominated TOP, roughly 38 minutes to 22 minutes. Cassel can get the out routes worked out with our receivers, and we can skip the routes where Terrance is open farther down the field than Cassel can throw it. Those things can be fixed this week. I like our chance against Seattle a lot better than when Weeden was starting.

I don't like how Terrance Williams plays football. He is not aggressive enough on going for the football. The WR corps is a joke compared to other teams.

I like that Dez is coming back next week.

I don't know....i'm looking at the Eagles.....they may be worse. I'd take ours over there's and they have some high draft picks over there.

The offense showed life compared to our NE game. I like how ths line looks with Collins in it. I like how the holes were developing. Using Whitehead on reverses was a nice new wrinkle we can add.

Cassell threw three picks but he also made throws Weeden couldn't make. I also saw him break outside the pocket to keep the play alive vs just being brought down.

Another thing I consider to be a little inconsistent with the refs. They called that play dead relatively fast, McFadden was being pushed backwards in a pile on one play and the refs took a little longer to call the play dead.

I understand it can be hard to judge for the refs, but that hurt us bad. We would have taken the momentum early with that turnover.

I didn't like the fact we averaged almost 6 yards per carry and yet did not play action ONCE the entire second half. It would've been extremely effective.

I imagine this is what goes through their head, especially Garrett..
"We've been running the ball pretty well. Play-action would work right now. But, they'll be expecting a play-action at this point. Ha! I will outsmart them all! We run on 1st down!"

Wasn't enough they robbed us of a potential NFC Championship appearance.

Gotta screw us this year too.

Really pathetic. Even Parera thought it was a horse**** call. Street essentially did everything your supposed to do on that particular play. Wasn't engaged in the block till well after McFadden was in the clear. Didn't hold. Just absurd.

Cassel at least made us look like an nfl offense, 3 piks and all. At least he is not afraid to throw the ball down the field. Have been saying since day 1 that Dmac should be the starter with Randall in relief...this coaching staff learns slowly, Dmac would still have 6 carries if Randall didn't get hurt.

I'm one of the biggest Romo backers here, but I'm starting to think even if he were playing now we would be in the same position without Dez. The receivers do not get open, we really have no one that is a threat to get open. Receiver just might be the #1 priority in this upcoming draft.

I think the run game made all the difference today in my perception.

They screwed us royally on that play, but I was actually talking about the play where Hayden picked up the fumble and ran all the way to the end zone but they had blown the whistle for no reason. It at least should've been Cowboys ball with good field position.

This guy has been out of football and had a week to work with this offense, if we hadn't had the ******** pi on the td we'd likely have won the game and Matt would be the hero of the day. Good Lord people if Romo had that little time to learn a new offense and no timing with receivers you would be throwing up on your shoes trying to make excuses for him.

The guy made some solid throws and reads.
