Pretty simple.

Average pass attemps per game 20 no more .

Run our 3 backs until the wheels fall off.

We need Romo to just manage the game.

Pittsburgh has done it for YEARS what this is there 4 AFC championship game this decade.

and some how we have yet to win a playoff game in the 2000's

Don't know if this is necessarily Romo but run a play-action pass play after yelling KILL KILL KILL on occasion.

I heard Jim Schwartz interviewed yesterday and he is a statistics freak.

He said he studied all the stats regarding turnovers over many seasons and he said there is no statistical correlation between fumbles and losing, but there is a major correlation between throwing Ints and losing.

He said, after years of analysis, the winning teams are those who don't throw a lot of ints and they get a lot of ints.

I thought that was very interesting.

Romo has to be reigned in if we are to have any chance of playing playoff winning football.

What I want next season:

1. An O-line that is at least league average.

2. To not have defenses knowing what routes we're running.

If we were to run alot more it would help the offensive line out.

Managing the game worked for Eli, why not Romo? I have no problem with him just being a game manager as long as it brings us the rings.

Pitts also has 1 of the 2 best defenses in the league to rely on........our defense ....as much as they improved still werent able to get the big stops .....

Romo does need to limit his mistakes..but i would hate to see teh Boys become a bus driver system...

Not likely.

I honestly think it would. This offensive line is overrated at pass blocking. I think people seem to forget how we can run the ball when we actually commit to it. Felix Jones broke some nice runs. TC broke some good runs and MB3 broke some. Yea we had some runs that were stuffed for -3 yards or so. But we had some long runs and there is nothing wrong with a 2 or 3 yard gain. Running more would tire down the opposing defense because the offensive line is attacking them. Not the other way around were the offensive line is getting attacked by the defensive line.

Romo is the poster boy for one word: "Holmgrenize"

I believe he only has one more level to get to. The traditional and obligatory "next" level. He needs a Holmgren or a Norv Turner-type to focus exclusively on his "Favre-ness".

That's about it. That should do it. Done deal...................

Romo is going to only throw 20 times a game and be a bus driver???

You realize that Tecmo is coming back right???

Tecmo called 45 pass plays against the Ravens and our best running formation is out of shotgun.

Our backs better get used to blocking, that is what they are going to mainly be doing this year.

I don't think Tony can be a leader with TO in his team.

I believe that trying to be a leader with TO on your team is the quickest way to having a blow-up with TO.

What I want from Romo:
  1. Protect the ball
  2. Run when its there
  3. Go through progressions and hit open man
What I DONT want from Romo:
  1. Dont think you are Tom Brady - get out of pocket when you have to
  2. Dont throw INT's in Red Zone or INT's that are like Punts that net 3 or more points for opponent
  3. Dont throw passes that are just about parallel to the LOS

I would like to see the stats that say losing fumbles doesn't increase the chances of losing. Totally think that is a BS statement.

We lost the ability to pull that stunt when Kyle Kosier went down followed by Felix Jones.

We need more offensive line depth. The problem with our running backs could have been solved if we worked Choice into the mix earlier, but we decided instead to run MBIII into the ground.

We also need more QB depth. Someone who could have won a few games in the middle stretch could have given Romo more of a breather.

Did Romo even complete a pass longer than 20 yards after the second New York Giants game?

David.
