Ok, humor me, and then add your own post to this. What would YOU do if you were the owner?

1. I would start Tony Romo this Sunday at Carolina
2. I would release Drew Bledsoe
3. I would re-sign Drew Henson (don't throw tomatoes at me, this is MY team!!, I'm the owner! :) )
4. I would be getting my next head coach lined up for next season.
5. I would give Tony Romo every chance to prove that he is THE guy this year, but if I wasn't seeing progress I would give Drew Henson some game time as well. My reasoning? At least Henson in NFLE demonstrated he can protect the football.
6. REGARDLESS OF HOW EITHER YOUNG QB PERFORMED, unless they just blew me out of the water, I would do what I had to do to draft what I perceived to be a franchise QB in this year's draft.
7. I GET OFFENSIVE LINE HELP IN THE OFF SEASON

Now, I absolutely know that "my world" won't come to pass, but it makes me feel a little better to type it. What is YOUR world if YOU are owner? Don't be afraid, let those fingers type! If you could have what you wanted, what would come to pass?

Please note, I didn't say a word about how any of this would turn out. I'm not asking for your dream RESULTS, I'm asking, what moves would you make if you had the power Jerry has?

I'd also Start Romo
I'd keep Bledsoe as the backup cuz Henson isn't a real alternative RIGHT NOW.
Above all else.....I WOULD DO EVERYTHING I COULD TO FIX THE O-LINE....THROUGH DRAFT...THROUGH FA.....WHATEVER IT TAKES. It all begins and ends with the o-line.

Those are just a COUPLE of things that I would do.

I would actually keep JJ on board though. He is a great businessman.

1. Start Romo against Carolina.
2. Keep Bledsoe as the backup.
3. Shake up the O-line. Move some people around. Play McQuistan. Something.
4. Concentrate on the O-line in free agency.
5. If Romo is not the answer, trade up and get a franchise QB in round 1 of the draft. We'd have less picks this year (and maybe next), but it's time to get our QB of the future.
6. Pray.

Ok, ok, maybe I need to qualify this. What would you do with the team ASSUMING YOU KEEP THE TEAM!

I want your owner/gm knee jerk reactions, your GUT FEEL decisions, because that is pretty much what Jerry does.

Romo starting is the right move because this team needs to move forward and get the most important position on the field filled by Romo,FA, or draft pick.

The OL suffers from paralysis by analysis. They just need to simplify their schemes, their heads are on a swivel.

Plus a team tends to do something to excess once they know your weakness. Remember when Tiki was a fumbler, teams kept trying to strip the ball. Teams would foul Shaq at the end because he could not make free throws.

If I were Jerry, I'd say get Offensive Line help, then turn my attention to getting some Offensive Line help. The third thing I'd do is get some Offensive Line help.

Jerry "rcaldw" Jones, I promise I won't throw tomatoes at you! :) But you are starting to remind me a little of Kartr. I'd see if Hos could change your name to "Hinsn" :p:

Strippers, a bunch of money, and a big boat are easier to deal with, and much more fun.

Hmmm, lemme see..... Strippers, or a bunch of overpaid/overrated Type A personality numbskulls...

yup, I'd sell the team.

1.Start Romo
2.Release Bledsoe recall Matt Baker
3. Evaluate Parcell for the next 10 games to see if he has the desire to coach a championship team.
4. Give the offensive line three games with Romo to see if they can improve.
5. Improve every aspect of the team in general.

1. Install cameras in cheerleader lockeroom.
2. Fire OL coach
3. Ask Zimmer why we play a cover 2 zone with highly paid cover corners and a rookie FS.

I would Start Romo for the rest of the season. I would get another QB in FA next year and draft one with a 1st day pick, not sure of the round.
I would pay Ron Wolfe 10 millions dollars to work on this from feb until the draft.

I would fire Saprano and hire a new offensive line coach now.

I would release BP after the season ends, or, let him stay if he would agree to an offensive Cord./Assistant head coach (Norv) of my choice , no more FOB club, which he probably wouldn't.

I would sign Henson in the off season and send him to Europe again.

I would think long and hard about this defense, which is my forte. We have personel for the 3-4, but it's not working up to my expectations. I might go with 4-3 and 3-4 mixed as the base like NE does, with the same personel...Maybe even some 5-3 monster.

I would date a different cheerleader every week.

I would sign Drew Henson and immediately cut him just to let him know who's boss.

I would make the offensive line my number one priority in the offseason.

I would go get a free safety and draft another one also.

Nose tackle would be a big need in the draft or FA.

If Romo does not work out for the rest of the season I would be looking at the draft (1st round) or FA for another qb.

The main problems we have had have been at positions where we have tried to coach up positions instead of aquiring real talent.
QB
OL
FS
I give them credit with signing Rivera(he WAS a pro-bowler) but other than that only Flozell was a top pick that has performed.
Gurode has underachieved at this point in his career.
Kosier???? I never heard of him before we signed him.
Columbo has suprised but he was exposed last night.

Sometime or another the front office has to bite the bullet and spend some serious cash(draft or FA) on qb if Romo is not the answer.

since snap decision-making seems to be a problem for henson - maybe it would be a good idea to sign him to the desperadoes "arena league" team. cept he'd want a $billion.

%$&#ing rich "never was"!

The problem with the Cowboys is the same as it has been since 2000 a totally useless offensive line. They still stink.
The beatings will continue until the offensive line improves. Period. You can blame it on Quicny, Vinny, Bledsoe, Hutchinson, Romo, TO or who ever but sacks, fumbles and interceptions will continue until the QB (who ever it is) get some kind of protection.
I get to where I hate to watch the Cowboys because you know the offensive line will not protect at all and then everyone will blame the QB or TO or whoever.
Sure the Cowboys have other problems but by far the biggest problem has been the offensive line since 2000 and it has not got any better. If they had a good offensive line then they could compete and be a serious playoff contender. As it is right now and for the last few years we do not have any real chance of being a contender.
