Are you concerned? Who do you think would be our starter if AP isn't a Cowboy next season and why?

I'm not concerned.

McFadden behind this line could be really good. He still have great speed. He just needs to be able to take a couple of steps before getting hit which rarely happened in Oakland.

Ryan Williams was terrific in college and was really good in the preseason. People discount him because the kept him on the PS, but none of the backup RBs were going to get many snaps with Murray here. Pass Pro has been a question mark, but they had him focused on that since they got him.

Randle has performed well in limited opportunities. His college game footage was right there with RBs ranked as 3rd rounders in this draft. His primary issue is just being a knucklehead.

Dunbar did reasonably well in very limited opportunities last season. He even had a couple of quality inside runs.

Very very concerned. It would be a monumental mistake to depend on McFadden, which means eventually Randle, later Ryan Williams and suddenly you look around and Dunbar is your starting back.

The big concern, for me, would be whether not drafting a back forces a change of identity. I don't think we need a guy racking up 1800 yards. But this was a team that got to 12-4 by being able to impose its will on defenses with the run game. Could it do that with the incumbents? I don't know.

Obviously, there's enough talent in the passing game to be able to switch the focus of our attack. Only trouble is that the team has never shown that it can be a winner on the strength of a dominant, pass-first attack. Of course, having a weak defense was a big reason for that so I guess it would depend on whether I thought they'd done enough in the draft to strengthen the defense and compensate for a (seemingly) less dominant rushing attack.
