Interesting question. Can the NFL owners fire him while he is still under contract? I'd imagine there would have to be a buyout of some sorts.

Dont think he will be fired, but I think there is a good chance he is not renewed once his contract is. Ratings dropped last year, and he is bringing more negative attention to himself and the league. He can play the "standing up for DV" game, but Ray Rice's name will be brought up often throughout the year

NFL seems to hire from within, just like Goodell got hired. The same with Blandino who wasn't remotely qualified for his job.

In other words...just some other stooge who hopefully won't be so dimwitted and incompetent as Goodell.

Of course, the bar isn't exactly set very high on that one.

I doubt he's getting fired. In fact I'll be some what surprised if they don't resign him when his contract is up.

It seems like the owners actually love him so I doubt he's going anywhere.

Jeb Bush was considered before Goodell got the job. I'm sure he needs something to fill his time, but who knows how the the owners would respond to his low energy.
