Do you make this trade? Romo and Julius Jones for the top pick in the draft? Personally, I would turn it down.

This is just a hypothetical question. Slow day with little football news.

Romo was undrafted and Jones was a second rounder. Both players do not equal the no. 1 overall pick. Far from it, in fact.

Good post. If we want Adrian Peterson, I might do it. The key to our draft is landing John Beck. Beck & Peterson.....I might just do it.

So what ur saying is the Pats can only get a 4th round pick at best for Brady, since he was a 6th rounder:bow:

And... getting #1 pick doesnt guarantee ANYTHING. EXCEPT that we trade a good running back and a promising/developing/growing QB.

No thanks.

Nope.

Brady has helped quarterback a team to three world championships. He would garner a higher draft pick as compensation.

Romo has done... what? ...in your opinion? Exactly?

Looks like you dont understand the value of Young Talent like Romo at the Quarterback position.

If Romo becomes a perenial Pro Bowler which I think he will then he is easily worth the 1st pick in this draft.

"If"?

"Becomes"?

The Oakland Raiders would have to make this 'trade' within the next month. If you were the general manager of the Raiders, would YOU make such a trade? Just asking.

[edit]Sorry. You said, "...the 1st pick in this draft". Forget it.

He put a 65% completion percentage, 8.61 YPA, and 19 TDs, for a 95.1 QB Rating in his first season as a starter.

I'm not sure that Jamarcus Russell or Brady Quinn will ever be able to put up those stats in the NFL, much less during their first year as a starter.

Ninja asked, "What if Oakland offers 1st pick for Romo and JJ?"

I certainly hope Romo has a very successful career. BUT a projected career cannot hinge on the accomplishments attained in less than a full regular season. Can it?

I want to wait on Romo to excel beyond what he has demonstrated so far before making him into a superstar. Yet, if Oakland would go for that trade, more power to them. If they were to offer that crazy trade, Jerry Jones should demand that they sweeten it up even more as someone else suggested on this thread. Why not? Romo's all that, ain't he?

This cannot be a serious thread. I am going to search the thread starter's posts to see if he routinely makes these types of funny Jokes. Or is today April 1???
