SF leap frogged us in the draft to select Rice. What if they didn't? It is common knowledge he would have been our pick.

How do you think his career would have gone? How do you feel it would have affected the Niners? Would we have still drafted Irvin a few years later? If not, what if he would have been drafted by the Niners?

Just imagine an offense with Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin, Rice, Novacek....and then in the late 90s......Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin, Rice, and Moss.........

He'd lose "credibility" with the fans and journalists like Emmitt and every single other Dallas great.

He'd be "penalized" for having played with such an amazing supporting cast and it would be implied that he would never have the same kind of career if he played for *insert any other team* and that Tim Brown or Andre Reed were superior players.

Seriously, that's the one thing that bothers me to no end - that Cowboys players will never get the recognition that they deserve. Everything good that a player has done is "only because of ______"

You can't have Irvin and Rice. Cowboys don't get Irvin if Rice is here. You draft Rice and all of a sudden you have a completely different Cowboys team for the next few years.
