I’d be ecstatic. Lamb is a beast.

as long as his last name is Judy Lamb or Ruggs...because thats clearly B.P.A. strategy in my opinion.

    Problems with 1st round WRs...

    - There is a huge bust factor
    - When up for extension, they are among the most overpaid positions
    - WR success is dependent on the QB
    - They get hurt a lot
    - Prima donnas

Round 2 is the honey hole for WRs.

But here we are. Another bunch of pages of garbage asking the same questions and getting the same response as the other thread.

This thread may as well have been “Dak. Sign in or not sign him. Go!”

then if we go WR in the 1st round ( whether Lamb, Juedy, Ruggs ) then that would be exclamation point plan put in place that means
there will be an eventual end to the Cooper time here as the lead featured WR - in about 2 years when they can execute releasing him without there be a significant cap

There would be a " cover coated" excuse as Best Available Player per their draft board, but you don't draft a WR in firsr round for the sake and plan
    of being a career 3rd WR/slot.

If we go WR, it would tell me that the Cowboys organization have the same skeptics as many critics as many Rex Ryans have
in a WR that disappears and just doesn't have lead dog in him. And the irony fo it being that strong a year for WRs to chance that WR move.

We have been at odds about Cooper in the past, but I do agree with you that he is not a true alpha. He is more 1A. They way his contract is structured, he needs to become an Alpha. Lamb is an Alpha

Lamb VS. Kinlaw is a tough one for me. Both are tiered the same. Both play positions of similar value (pass rush DT is up their with DE's and WR's). However Kinlaw's knee worries me

I disagree. If Kinlaw or Henderson is there I'm ok with taking them. If Lamb is there I'm taking him over Chaisson or McKinney. Gallup has this year and next year on his contract. It's very possible we aren't able to resign him and having Lamb will make it easier. Also, Cooper most likely isn't getting another contract after his 5 years is up and now you have Lamb who contract would be up at the same time. It's not about just a 3rd receiver/slot guy.

    I'd be upset but I wouldn't freak.

Those top two are unquestionable studs.

I have my doubts on Ruggs but I'm probably wrong.

If they want a receiver then trade down. Lamb and Jeudy will be gone and probably Ruggs too. Of the second tier receivers, I L-O-V-E Denzel Mims. Move down from 17 to 20 and take him and pick up and extra 4th.

Yeah, but I can read 3-4 pages before getting bored with just about any subject. I tend to skip the threads that already have 700 hundred replies. Sure I could just read the 1st few pages, but my brain doesn't work like that.

I just want them to take a future hall of famer. Is that too much to ask?

No, not at all. I’ve heard that it’s super easy to find those guys at #17

Kurt Warner was ubdrafted and made the HOF

We should be able to get at least a couple of guys like that during the draft

I want to see the results of Kinlaw's knee MRI. Then, we will know his actual condition. If he had a slight sprain, that heals with no residual effects.

If Kinlaw is on the board at 17, after knowing his knee is really fine, I jump up and down and say Halleluya!! I take him over Henderson. DT dominators come along once in a blue moon. If anyone wants our spot, it will be a #1, #2 and # 3, no compromise.

To draft KINLAW to be star next to a stronger DLAW will be amazing. I can see KINLAW also used as a left defensive end with DLAW occasionally rushing from the other side.

KINLAW can be a dominator. He can cause INT's. He will restore law and order on the DLINE. Take a CB in 2nd round.

The new Doomsday Defense. It can be the real MCCOY. From DLAW to KINLAW to TCRAW, along with D. POE, they will be dominate against any foe.

Stick to the board and hopefully someone rated above 17 falls to us. If it's a position we don't need trade back a couple picks and add another day two pick.

If Lamb or Juedy fall to 17 they are much better players than Kinlaw and we need to take the WR.

Unless your crystal ball predicts that they are tthe reincarnation of Jerry Rice, then I think “much better” is a highly suspect description.

even if they are marginally better, the second best DT in the draft is nothing to sneeze at.

inwouldnt take either. Give me Fulton. Second best CB on the board and our biggest need sounds good to me

Wouldn't be the worst thing ever. We have gambled hard on high-risk players over the last decade (Sean Lee, Bruce Carter, Gregory, Jaylon...) and the big red flags on their scouting reports have always cropped up later. I can't remember the last guy who left their problems behind in college.

Kinlaw is a can't-miss pass rushing stud, but if the talk about his arthritic knees is legitimate, I guarantee you they will be a problem later. So the question with him isn't "will he hit", it's more of "how many effective games will he play for us." If I can dodge that question entirely and get a top 3 WR instead, I'm fine with that.

They are in a different tier than Kinlaw. They are arguably top 8 talents this year and he’s top 15ish.

His upside is exciting, but he’s not as polished and there’s more risk involved.

Even Bridget, who has both overrated, and I’m assuming Is your basis, doesn’t have either of them top 8.

I haven’t seen any evals that have them top 8
