What if we take a WR in the first?

If Barr and Donald are gone I say sure sign me up for a WR if they are the best player available on your board.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but I'd rather see a trade down. Even if you ended up at the back of the first round or even early 2nd round.

Let's say all of the DL guys we targeted have come off the board. What's your reaction if we take Mike Evans?

puke

because it just would turn us into Detroit lions south......it got them really far drafting 4 WRs in the top 10 within a 6 year span....

If Mike Evans is available at #16 it's a high high probability that he's the BPA.

Reports are coming out that some teams have him ranked as the #1 WR in this draft.

Even without trading Dez, they could use the money that is going to be paid to Dez on free agent defensive players and let Dez leave in free agency.

Let's say that Dez gets 12M per year in his new contract:

Dez @ 12M + 2013 1st round DE

OR

Mike Evans + 12M free agent DE

I thought we can do whatever we want in free agency?

I dont want Dez to leave, why are people intent on trading him away when he is starting to produce like a no 1 WR?

I'm just showing a scenario where taking BPA can work out even if it is a position that does not seem like a need. If Evans is as good or better than Dez then it would be a reasonable scenario.

This is a really deep draft at WR and some teams are reported to have Evan ranked as the best one.

For the example to make more sense, just imagine if you had the chance to draft Megatron but passed because you already had a Dez type WR on your roster.
