OT Bitonio
DE Lawrence
DT Sutton
WR Landry

I think it is possible with all the needs. In a perfect world and I hope it is like that when we draft, we would get a DT, DE, WR, and OT in the first 4 picks while following our board and not reaching. Check out this article that talks about following the money when it comes to drafting.

So, instead of a 1, 2 and 3....all we are getting is one extra pick? No thanks on that one. That would be horrible.

Next year's #1 wasn't mentioned, but I agree with @Fla Cowpoke in that trading our first and only netting an extra pick to move ALL the way down into the 2nd round after our own pick would not be what I want to see

I could see them trading out of the first in some scenarios, but it would depend on the trade partner and the players available @ #16...I would want to at least get a high 2nd and a 3rd if they were to trade right out of the first

for example, if a QB was there @ #16 and we traded to the Browns for their 2nd (not going after their other first rounder from this year), then I would want to get their 2nd and 3rd and their first from 2015 - or something like that

If we give up a #1 that most likely means another team traded their next years #1 to us.

Now that is what I want to hear. I want at least a 2 and a 3 just to move down to the bottom of the first. (ex. SF) Moving out of the first round, I want their 2 and next years 1. To hell with the trade value charts!

Well, hopefully, if we trade down we do it like three or four times until we get out of the first. That way we can ride the emotional roller coaster ride the entire night before they trade down from #32.

Great fun!

Yeah it would need to be a 1 of the top 5 picks in the 2nd + a 3rd and 4th for me to do it.

If that were to happen I wouldn't mind something like this:

Crichton
Yankey
Terrence Brooks
Tripp
Chris Smith
WR- Huff/Davis/Street

so no of this guys could start - I see 4 starters

and who knows how the deal would break down - only an idea

47 Jeremiah Attaochu, DE/OLB , 6-3 #255 George Tech

2 Martavis Bryant, WR, 6-4 #215 Clemson

3 78 Trai Turner, OG, 6-3 #320 LSU

3 Kelcy Quarles, DT, 6-4 #300 South Carolina

or that or trade back in the first round - I really see no one worth a first round pick on the D

This. I don't know why we would do this either. I mean, I like the depth but moving down however many spots into the second for only a 3rd is probably not what I would like to see happen either. JMO

But you don't have a 1st rounder. LMAO. Math is not that hard. In one scenario you have three picks, the other you have four. You are turning that number one in two picks.

I don't see the value.

I would much rather see us move down lower in the first and then pick up another pick...late 2nd or early 3rd. IMO opinion 1,2,3,3 is better than 2,2,3,3

since some people are not enamored with Jerrigan and I don't see Donald or Barr falling to us

but I would be for JERRIGAN

our ist pick 2 rd Martavis Bryant, WR, 6-4 #215 Clemson

2 pick 2 rd Jeremiah Attaochu, DE/OLB , 6-3 #255 George Tech - much better player than Ealy

1 pick 3 rd Trai Turner, OG, 6-3 #320 LSU

2 pick 3 rd DT

I would be upset if we traded completely out of this talented first round. There are some real blue chip guys that could help us a lot, IMO, so I hope they don't trade all the way out.

I'd rather give up a few extra picks to insure we come away with guys that fit our system and can make an impact (like trade up for Donald in the first or up for Shazier or Crichton in the second... or both). Just coming out of this draft with Donald and Crichton would really have a positive impact on the DL.

I don't know exactly what the Cowboys think about Jernigan, but I would be ok with him in the first. I think he's a good player and would work very well next to Melton.
