Realistically, they can't trade Garrett this year, unless they extend Watson to prolong and spread the pain of his contract.
40mil dead cap for Garrett in 26 if traded now, or 17mil over what he's going to count for.

and they have the 80mil cap hit for Watson, which would be in it's last year of real term before the void years.

100% opposed. This years team is cooked. Save the draft pick and use it on a defensive player next April. Use all the draft picks on defensive players!
 
What would help this D the most, I think, would be a cerebral, physically capable MLB - doesn't even have to be an all-pro, though that would be ideal.
 
Although not on a bad team, a player like Fred Warner would make a huge impact.

Realistically, I think the Cowboys should trade a 2 for Hendrickson. Not many realize he had back to back 17.5 sack seasons. Due to his age, will be much cheaper then extending Parsons as well.

Also, if there is a real good zone corner, I would entertain dealing Diggs straight up.
 
Jeffrey Simmons the DT from Tennessee. As bad as we need a cb and linebacker, that won't affect the QB. But making an area of strength even more dominant would help the back 7 now.
 
Tough choice to make. We need a LB so badly. Fred Warner? Although I don't know he is playing at the same level as in the past.
How about Roquan Smith or Zack Baun?

If we go with DE it is too easy. It has to be Myles Garrett or Maxx Crosby. Although Will Anderson would be nice too.
 
Logically, is has to be Garrett, but I really appreciate high quality safety play. I don't know who the closet player to Ed Reed is today, how also meets this criteria--but him.

OK you need to add this caveat you can't say a guy with a brand new contract they're not tradable I mean this needs to be realistic You can't add Max Crosby and Miles Garrett because they have new long term deals their bonus money was prepaid they're not tradable at all their teams are not going to trade them and eat 40% of their contracts so they can play with the Dallas Cowboys that's not happening...

People respond can we really use players that actually can if you want a pass rusher it has to be Hendrix it because he didn't sign a new deal he's still on a one year deal it just got more bonus added to it this year he would be a person that literally is looking for a long term deal if you really want a pass rusher he's it....

So that would go for any position if the guy has a brand new long term deal it means he got a lot of bonus money up front and prorated money spread out over the next four years they don't trade players like that Probably the first two years even the Russell Wilson deal he played for Denver for two years and they still had to eat a lot of money but you have to make it realistic..

Really needed to add an * here because you can't just say anyone it has to be reasonable and actually attainable you cannot sign or make a trade I should say that just signed a brand new long term deal because they all got upfront bonus money that's prorated over the life of the contract most of it up front was a bonus and then some of it is guaranteed money that they can't push to another team therefore anybody like Miles Garrett and Max Crosby just to name a few are not realistic they will not be traded...

We need to make sure it's a guy like Trey Hendrickson He only is on a one year deal even though he got some extra money to play this year he would be realistic So we gotta make sure we do some research you don't add players to this wish list that you can't have like the funny people adding Parsons in it's not possible I know it's funny but it's not possible...

So go around to other people's rosters and look at players under rookie deals or on their last year of a long term deal or realistically can be traded where the other team is not gonna have to pay a lot of money to lose them so that way they're not asking for a lot back..

He's not available new long term deal says he cannot be traded it's not feasible for either side.. Guys these are pipe dreams you have to pick a player that actually can be traded it has to be realistic...

Is what we should be doing not fantasy we should be living in the what what player can be attained no player with a new long term deal with upfront bonus money that's prorated over the life of the contract is getting traded in the same year they just upgraded..
