Yeah but Nick Bosa's hurt and Myles Garrett can't be traded i'm trying to step in here because people are adding names that are unattainable anybody on a brand new long-term deal that signed in this offseason is not tradable it's not good for either side it's not happening is what I'm saying so yes add somebody that's actually being considered for a trade there in maybe the second year of a new deal or during the last year of a new deal they were on a rookie deal..

But I'm not sure if that's the guy from the Giants you're talking about that they're gonna trade within their division but maybe they will maybe they're that stupid I don't know but I don't know if they're selling at this point He might be able to help but then who you're kicking outside I mean we have a pretty good rotation inside we're really looking for pass rushers and safeties and defensive backs and linebackers...LOL

Criteria's wasn't written properly in the first place it can't be somebody that just signed a new deal in the offseason These big deals have prorated bonus money they're not going to be traded so can we stay on the realistic side of these things and not play fantasy football This should be about players we possibly could really trade for before the trade deadline..

I don't think it is a fantasy post we should make it a realistic post fantasy posts are a waste of time everybody knows you could just go ahead and get every Pro Bowler and all Pro off everybody's roster and build your fantasy team that doesn't fit with with the Cowboys actually could possibly trade for at the before the trade deadline I say it's not a fantasy post but hey if you want to waste your time posting players that are not available that will never be available that's okay.

First of all I don't know if he's still available but saying that on this defense like one piece an older linebacker just gonna fix everything? I understand where you're coming from but you're exaggerating we do not know if he would step into this particular defense and do well we just don't but I liked him last year I really did but that was Mike Zimmer's guy..... I thought I heard a rumor he was trying out for another team.

But not put him on a list of dream candidates if you can add any defensive player that's not the guy I think of he's someone we could probably just have signed already that's not a dream team that's not a fantasy....

Other guys out there like that like is it the safety line bracker hybrid and is it the guy named Simmons or something Yes him Gilmore these guys can be attained but are they gonna fix it we want to have names that we know if we added them immediately they fix a lot of things..

I have an answer 'cause I don't follow any fantasy football I don't play any games that I know other people's rosters and what not not that well not who's available with their contracts look like especially on losing teams..

Never said he would fix everything. Yes exaggerating a little. But similar to Clowney, give him 1-2 weeks to work with coaches and playbook, he'll be fine. The bar is so low right now it will not require much to see a noticeable improvement from what we currently have out there at the position.
 
I'm debating myself between Dexter Lawrence at the first level or Fred Warner at the second level as to how either's performance would impact this current defense.

I seem to be able to make equally credible arguments for either player at this point.

A couple of players who fit your OP criteria…don’t know if any are realistic as far as acquiring them:
  • LB Jordyn Brooks, Mia - played over 1,000 snaps last few years and is a sideline to sideline guy with a high motor and great tackling range. He’s 27 and has been reliable. Would be an upgrade. His contract is higher than our FO likes.
  • S Ronnie Hickman, Cle - only 23 and I think underrated. He’s still on a cheap contract with the browns. Played for Ohio State in college and has good coverage skills and decent size.

Defense is becoming almost non existent in today’s game.

Look at last nights game.

The Rams couldn’t stop basically the 49ers backups.

Mac Jones looked all world.
 
Any defensive player in the league? Aiden Hutchinson. Garrett is better at this point but I’m taking age into consideration.

Like, a realistic player we could acquire right now? There are a few S and LBs we might be able to get from bad teams for relatively cheap.

Jeremy Chinn, LV safety is a decent player. Bradley Chubb would instantly help our pass rush - he’s 29. Would a 2nd rounder get it done? Miami might as well tank, but they might be hesitant to give up their single good player on defense.

Oops, Warner is outside OP criteria.

Fred Warner and the 49ers are 4-1.

Edit: I just saw your 2nd post...

I like Dexter Lawrence but for the first time in forever, DT is not the primary problem on the Cowboys defense.

FA right now i hope that applies too.

He played QB in the past and thats how i would use him. We need a good one badly.

DT may not be a primary problem but I can't ignore how Lawrence and Clark side by side might totally wreak havoc at the first level vice just the decent level of play now shown by Clark and Osa.

A very noticeable upgrade that could possibly provide much needed trickle down performance improvement from the rest of the front 7.

My opinion.
