I don't know guys, they might actually be able to get a 15th round draft pick! Oh wait......

This is not a joke. After seeing that PHI got something for Maxwell and his contract, what would one year of Carr at 9.1m be worth to a team?

He doesn't want a pay cut and we don't seem to want to cut him outright, so how bout a compromise.

I think we could get a 3rd or 4th. If he hits FA in 2017 he will qualify for a comp pick for whoever trades for him, so potentially they are just renting a draft pick for a couple years.

It looks bad to keep him after all the talk of cutting him for 2 years and tells the rest of the team not to ever re-do your contract even if you under-perform. Doug Free must feel a little stupid for taking his 50% pay cut in 2013. i doubt they would have cut him.

Unless he just wants out of Dallas, Carr will agree to a new contract. He knows we can cut him Post June 1 and pay him a fraction, so he may be willing to play for a couple million extra if no other teams come calling. Otherwise, he can wait to be cut, collect his millions owed and still sign a lesser contract elsewhere...the two will still make a sizable payday for the coming year.

He is not 'owed' anything. If he is cut he gets nothing. DAL will still have a cap hit but they don't owe him any new money.

Carr is likely a post June 1 cut. Frees up most cap space that way.

Carr might have some trade value but his agent would have to find a team and agree to an extension/reduction.
Not sure other teams nor the agent are very motivated.
Just wait and hit unrestricted free agency.
Go to highest bidder.

PHI got basically a high 3rd worth of trade chart value in their swap for 2 guys.
Carr alone might get you a 5th or 6th imho.

With his contract, you could probably get a pretty good parking lot attendant.

Not only has he been worse than you average corner, but he's getting paid like an elite one.

Blimey! That is a perfect example of Jerry Jones economics. Sort of like Bizarro World economics but not as practical.
