What is Dallas doing with all these 6-3 WRs

It is just the prototype of what Dallas does. Perimeter WRs need to be bigger and taller due to the types of route trees that are run. Speed is even secondary to length and body control.

Good point. And Street definitely fits the bill. 6'3 and very long arms. 4.5 speed which is obviously adequate for his size. Familiar with pro-style routes unlike a lot of college WRs. Probably a year of NFL weight training away from gaining the strength and confidence to get off of the jam and physical coverage. But as a 4th WR initially, he'll be fine.

If he had Dez, half those Int's would not have happened. He has no jump ball WR. Nobody got open, so instead of holding onto the ball...he threw it up, hoping his WR would make a play. The same way he did in the Super Bowl, to Win a super bowl....sometimes it's all about faith.

Dude, this doesnt even make any sense unless you're E-Lie or a Giants fan. This is a head scratcher.

IF - E-Lie had Dez he wouldnt have thrown half his INT's? So he has no jump ball WR's but by faith he just threw up a prayer "hoping" a non jumping WR would make a play? Sounds more like blind faith if anything at all. No, actually sounds like stupidity for a veteran NFL QB to take that kinda chance knowing he has guys that cant make the play.

I'm a die hard Cowboys fan, but I'm also a fan of the sport period. So i won't let a rivalry between millionaires, leave me blind to the fact if another play is good, he is good.

I'm not saying Eli is better than Romo, all I'm saying is, he would use/throw to Dez better than what we currently do. His style of play requires big bodies, at times.

The new O.C. will go down field more often, the big WRs make the deep pass play more consistent.

I thought the interesting thing about the Devin Street selection was that he's not a special teams guy. The fact that the Cowboys used a 5th on a WR who doesn't figure to factor on special teams seems noteworthy to me. It tells you just how highly they view his potential as a receiver.

I worry about his ability to separate in the NFL. He doesn't have deep speed, but more importantly, he's not quick and sudden either. This is a glider who has to build up to top speed.

Let's hope we run the ball more and let our defense spend less time on the field.

The preseason might be fun to watch given that we have real NFL backup QBs who aren't afraid to throw more than 5 yards down the field. Catching will be 4 or 5 6-3 WRs. So why so many?

My opinion we're trying to turn Washington or the Miami kid into a 6th rounder at the end of camp like we did last year with San Diego. These receivers will be difficult to match up with for sure.

I have already felt that Romo is the type of quarterback that can "make" a receiver. L. Robinson, Dewayne Harris, Miles Austin and Kevin Ogletree are not star receiver type but Romo made them special even for a year. If we can get a bigger receiver to have the production of one of those guys maybe it will be sustainable.
