Let's see...what was there, five, six HC jobs open and he got NONE OF THEM!

And I thought my 401K stock was falling fast.

He turned down HC jobs last year.

He had more job interviews than anyone this year. ANYONE.

He is still has a job making as much money (or possibly more) as some HC's.

He will likely get more interviews next year.

His stock isn't falling at all.

Here's to hoping it was the proverbial sophomore slump. This will all be a mute point IF the offense returns to form next season.

Obviously not...oh for the world in interviews is solid...much like his game scheme approach...he is doing well.

Wouldnt agree that his "stock" has not fallen at all......that is a stretch by any means of the imagination.

Now, if he can just figure out--that after a year like 2007, teams break your offense down and study it all off-season, especially the top 5 type D's...once they find your weakness...I'm sure the emails are flying between coaches..its one big copy-cat family in the NFL....

Its like they figured out....If a D shows this set.....TO will run a pattern down the sideline, Witten will stay into block, Romo ignores Crayton & Roy---its repeatable........The D was dictating to the O...which is what Wade always wants to do also......its good D.

Now that being said....maybe Garrett should lend more time copy-catting what works in the NFL....WCO, NE, Norv and now ARiz O's:cool: (they can get the ball to Fitz any time they want)........Garrett needs to stop trying to create the Next family tree of Off. Coor's and use his tools in a offense that works.

there...that line of b.s. is off my chest....:star:

How many interviews did Tony Dungy have before Tampa finally took a chance on him? 5 or 6 years worth.

Pay attention to something other than the petty bitterness of the season and you learn stuff. Maybe...

Well there's "STOCK" in the form of an OC in the NFL, then there's the "STOCK" in the form of OC for the Dallas Cowboys, so let's see, the offense is supose to perform at a high level for Jason Garrett and believe in his abilities when he SHOPED himself all over the league just to get out of this mess.....umm yah it's gonna be a great 2009 season...just dandy

That he's a hack?

I think Garrett is talented but still inexperienced. I don't like his opportunistic bent considering the support and rewards he has received from the Cowboys.

You would think Garrett with only two years of employment including an outstanding raise and promotion would make more of a commitment to help this team also knowing that if he is successful he would inevitably be the next head coach in the very near future.

I think you are correct. His inexperience is what is the problem. He surprised people last year, but this year they caught up with him. The question is ........... do the Cowboys have the patience to go through the learning process with him?

Jason & his agent probably thinks his stock is at an artificial low point with nowhere to go but up. Time to buy. he's not considering total failure as an option.

with how Troy speaks about him and how jerry the salesman fluffs him i'd take a similar view if i were his advisors.

fwiw this is also why homers want believe he'll succeed here so badly... they'd wait out a lifetime to this and for jerry to be right. they don't mind 2-3 lost seasons while he learns how to run an offense, playcall a game, nevermind command an entire roster.

I guarantee you if Garrett has a successful 2009 season, he can write his ticket and for how much he wants anywhere.

Garrett had a very good 2007, a challenging but not too shabby 2008 given all the injuries, growing pains (learning on the job), etc.

I fully expect him to take his coaching to a much improved level this coming season.
