My "secret weapon" is feedly. I follow about 60 economic/finance/investing blogs and its fantastic, I'm not a premium member and simply use the free service and it keeps me way more informed than many of my peers at work.

Google Search by a landslide.

If we're omitting Google Search, then probably Google Maps/Waze. I have probably freed up hundreds of hours over my lifetime that would otherwise have been spent navigating places via map, stopping to ask directions, stuck in traffic or just lost.

I still remember printing out directions to places on Mapquest or whatever back in the day.

Google Maps is great no doubt, as is search, but I'm aiming for things that are a bit more under the radar, that others may not know about.

In that case, 1Password is probably my most valuable app. Saves all your passwords under one master key, so you can use secure passwords and not have to remember them all.

I got tired of having to recover passwords all the time, and you can sync it across multiple computers, phones, etc.

Can you elaborate on this app please?

Not sure if I have any sites or apps that I would deem as valuable, but here are a couple I find useful:

Authy is a pretty sweet app that works on multiple platforms (desktop, mobile devices, etc.) and keeps your two-factor authentication accounts synced. I use it every day multiple times a day.

1password has been mentioned, and I use a similar one called Lastpass. Like Authy, it syncs across multiple platforms, giving you the ability to log into your accounts from anywhere. I'm not sure if 1password has this, but lastpass can generate secure passwords of any length and complexity for you.

Slack is another one that I use all day every day. It's a great tool for team communication and has nice features for joining other teams or inviting outsiders to your team on a limited basis.
