... at the end of the 1st quarter? The ref marked the punt out at the 19, then after commercials the announcers said "Coughlin convinced the referee that he got the spot wrong, so the Giants will start from the 25."

What is up with that????

How can they change the spot of the ball without a challenge? I never heard an explaination.

I was wondering about that as well.

On a punt return by Dallas, Newman was running to catch it and stepped out of bounds and still could not get to the ball. The ref spotted it wheren Newman stepped out, which was a bad spot.

Two officials work together to triangluate the position of the ball. I don't know how they changed the spot in that one situation.
