I live on the east coast and I'm going to the Vikings @ Cowboys game in November. My dad and I were wondering what there is to do in the area and if it's worth spending an extra day in Dallas.

Thanks

When we went, we did the stadium store and went to a rodeo. That was pretty cool.

i took my niece to the tour and she had the time of her life. went to hard 8 bbq and while they loved it, they were from florida, what do they know? if you catch that place at the right time, it's great. otherwise, it's overcooked meat sitting on the grill until someone comes to get it.

Check out Colters BBQ the best I've ever had. They also got the Dallas Aquarium which I recommend. Seeing the Kennedy thing was cool but nothing great. Also must see the Stockyards in Ft. Worth!

If you make your way to downtown Dallas, you can check out the Dallas Aquarium, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Sixth Floor Museum as others suggested, and you can also check out the new Perot Museum of Nature, and Science. I haven't been yet, but everyone I know that went had a great time. They are all close by, so you can walk to each one. If you are a hockey/basketball fan, you can walk down to the American Airlines Center (AAC), and catch a Stars/Mavs game (if they have a home game that weekend).

There's six flags, hurricane harbor, dallas world aqarium, ft worth stock yards. Still, nothing to write home about.

Theres really not much to do in DFW other than watch the Cowboys.

If you make it to Ft. Worth you should go to Joe T Garcias and then hit up the Stock Yards. You have to sit on the patio as well. It is amazing!

Not as good as it used to be, but Sonny Bryant's BBQ is a Dallas institution. Or for Mexican food there's always Cuquita's, the homemade corn tortillas slathered in butter are decadent. For a good steak, there's Bob's steak and chop house. You might even run into a player or two there (former and current). Too bad it's in November, you will have just missed the State Fair of Texas. Some of the best tasting, worst for you food around these parts.

This being the 50th anniversary, The Sixth Floor Museum is having a bunch of special programs and exhibits.

We went to the 1 w/ Buell Wesley Frazier on Fri night. He drove Oswald to work on 10/22/63, We also have tickets to the one featuring Dr. Ronald C. Jones and Dr. Robert N. McClelland, two of the physicians who contributed to the president’s treatment in Trauma Room 1. That's in Sept.

Uhhh no. There's not a lot of unique things exclusive to the area to do, but there's a ton of things to do.

Depends on what you want to do. Do you want a Texan type experience? Historical sights (not many of those)? City Night life? Recreational?
