Wow, 2 people have already mentioned the '99 Commanders game. It was the last good game with all of the Triplets. And that was when I first old enough to be able to at least grasp football.

If not that then I would go with the win over the Bills, Romo has 5 picks and Folk hits two straight field goals. Amazing game, emotional turn after emotional turn. And I was also in the dorms and every room seemed to have the game on, it got loud when Folk made the winning kick.

Season ending win against Washington in 1979. Staubach was magical and so much was on the line.

That's it for me too. Playoff birth on the line, Roger the dodger at the helm. Wow, what a game!!!

I guess mine is kind of an oddball, but the game in 2003 in Big Bill's first season. November 23rd Carolina came to Texas Stadium as the cream of the NFC crop and Vegas certainly doubted the Cowboys chances. Dallas came out to win 24-20 and Big Bill brought tears of real joy to my eyes in his post-game presser, saying "You can't call 'em losers anymore." It gave a real feeling of "this team is turning around."

Of course, that's just a recent favorite game. I'd have to say this years game against Atlanta was pretty great. First time the team had just dominated all aspects of the game. Great things are to come!

1992 NFC Chapionship Game vs the Niners

The reason is because the season before, I predicted they would beat the 9ers @ Candlestick to make the Super Bowl.

It was my Sr year in high school. And I predicted it the monday after they lost to the Lions in the prior season's playoffs, and everybody thought I was insane when Id say it....HA!!!!

'92 Championship at 49ers, the day it all really began for the Triplets.
This one does it for me. The 1979 Washington game was before that because it was so sweet to kill the Commanders, but I wanted the 49ers to suffer more after having "The Catch" rubbed in our faces for years. The following NFC Championship was pretty nice as well.

I have another odd ball game that probably was one of the uglier wins in franchise history. The 1996 Green Bay game. 21-6. Nothing but Boniol field goals and Reggie White whining like a child having a temper tantrum at the end.

The 71 SB over the Dolphins that ended the lable of brides maid and choker for the franchise.

My other all time win has not happened yet that game will be with this current group end the lable that has been placed on them.

92 NFC Title Game for me. They arrived a year earlier than most people expected, played a fantastic game in Candlestick as an underdog, and somewhat avenged the Catch from 11 years prior.

Honorable mention: 1) Staubach beats Skins 35-34 in his last regular season game at Texas Stadium. 2) 1978 NFC Title Game. I have a tape of this game and its not well played, both offenses struggle to move the ball, but the Cowboys are in the "jinxed" blue jerseys -which are my fav all-time uniforms- and they overcome the jinx with Charlie Waters picks, a 28-0 second half and Hollywood Henderson's 68 yard int return for the cherry on top of the sundae finish to go to SB XIII. I just like the look of this game with the uniforms vs. the Rams in a LA, a dominant defense, and Staubach and Dorsett in the backfield. A great memory.

It's almost freaky that so many people are mentioning the 1999 season-opener at Washington ... that's one of the first ones that popped into my mind, too.

Aikman hitting Ismail on the bomb in OT made me leap off the couch. It's probably the biggest reaction I've ever had to a single play ... and if I remember right, it's the biggest reaction I've ever seen out of Aikman. It was just such a dramatic round-house knock-out blow to our most hated rival (and right when the Commanders thought they were about to be great again).

The other one that came to mind immediately was the NFC title game in the Coliseum in Los Angeles after the 1975 season. This was the week after the Hail Mary play in Minnesota and Dallas went into the Coliseum as huge underdogs. The crowd was over 100,000. Dallas won 37-7 and Preston Pearson had the game of his life.

Also loved the 1979 Roger-to-Hill season finale that has been mentioned in this thread. Those three (along with the Super Bowl wins) are my favorites.

The Jimmy Johnson "WE WILL WIN" in 2 inch bold letters game.

All the 49'r fans I knew were talking trash all week long how Jimmy Johnson messed up and the we crushed them.

I was at the '99 opener at Fed Ex. That was such a wild game. I'll never forget how bad our DBs were watching that game live. I'm guessing Charlie Williams and Kevin Mathis were starting while Deion sat out with a bum toe. I mean the Skins WRs were so open it wasn't even funny. But what an ending! And as a few have already mentioned, that was really the last great performance for the Triplets.

Another one is the win vs Washington in 1989, which was our only win of that season. Paul Palmer had a great game.

Super Bowl XXVII. I had been a fan for 15 years, which meant my first season as a fan ended with the loss to Pitt in Super Bowl XIII (the worst loss ever IMO). I waited 15 years for the Cowboys to get back to the big game. I had butterflies because I knew how much it hurted to lose a Super Bowl, but I had no idea how it felt to win one. Well, after the first few drives, everything went right in that game. The heavens just opened up. It was a beautiful night in Southern California. I remember the fireworks after the Cowboys won 52-17. I remember how Jimmy got his hair mussed and how he basically ignored Leon Lett after his little faux pas. I remember Irvin and Harper celebrating in a moment that became a headline photo. I remember Jerry Jones being elated after coming to the sidelines late in the game. I remember thinking to myself finally. Finally. I carried that victory in my heart for weeks. And I still get chills when I see highlights of it. Best win ever.

This is a great topic.

Now it would be easy to pick any of the Superbowl or NFC Championship game wins. To me that's too easy. Winning the championship games go without saying that they're some of the best wins we've seen.

So on a question like this I think about different things. I think about other games that while they might not be championship games they were important for other reasons, be it a big playoff win, a win over rival, etc.

I have several to list that I just loved and then I'll give you my all time favorite.

- 2007 Monday Night win over the Bills: I know this wasn't a huge game, going in or afterwards, but I just loved so much about the team that night and most especially about Romo. This win was the one that cemented, for me, that he is the kind of QB you want. He can play as bad as a QB can possibly play but he's got the mental toughness to shake it off and do what he has to help his team when in the end. I loved this game.

- 1991 regular season win over Eagles in December: This game meant so much cause they'd been beating us and beating us and beating us and just earlier that year had blanked us 24-0. I was so happy to see us finally get them for a change.

- 1992 NFC Divisional Round Playoff over Eagles: This one was very special cause it was the first win on the road to our Superbowl and it allowed us to beat them 2 times that season, soundly, and to finally put them to rest.

- 1991 Regular season win over undefeated Commanders: I loved this cause it was the Skins and we put to rest their shot at history.

- 1999 Regular season opening win over Commanders: Of course we all know this one was great because they jumped all over us, thought they'd gotten us, and then the team just kept fighting and fought all the way back to win it in overtime. I loved this game and it's always going to hold a special place in my heart.

But now for my all time favorite win.....

1993 - Final Regular Season Game @ New York - It was just an absolutely huge, important, must win game. NFC East and homefield throughout the playoffs were on the line. Then of course my all-time favorite Cowboy put on one of the guttiest performances I've ever been priveledged to watch. Emmitt Smith was already my favorite at this point but this one put him up there with Roger and Lilly and others in the legendary status for me.

Outstanding. Can't believe I left that off my list. Ramifications of that game were huge. Another tough, gutty, road win which are my favorites. Good call.

WOW, I have been a fan since the mid-late 60's, I could not pick one, .. or five, of my favorites.

There are just too many great memories!!

But I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and remembering the games that all of you have brought up.

Honestly, there are too many to choose from, but a few stand out:

1. SB XII - No one has mentioned this game, but for me it was special. My brother was (I think still is, but I'm not quite sure) a HUGE Broncos fan, and he and my dad were rubbing that orange crush crap in my face all week before the game. Words cannot describe the feeling of rubbing it back in their faces afterwards.

2. The 1979 season ender. And Hostile is right, my favorite player of all time was absolutely magical that day. I wish every Cowboys fan could watch that game right now, especially those who haven't seen it. By the way, if I remember correctly, that was the year that the rules changed regarding pass interference. Not coincidentally, Staubach had is greatest statistical year ever. If he played today, there's no doubt in my mind that he would be the best QB in the game.

3. The 1992 NFCCG. I hated the 49ers then. Now, not so much, but then, totally...completely. Everyone talks about how many bandwagon fans the Cowboys have, but I'll tell you something, everyone and their dog was a damn 49er fan at that time. It was sickening. That game was so good in so many ways.

Too many for me, but here are some that I haven't seen mentioned yet.

- 2009 - The back to back whoopins we just put on the Eagles ranks up with the best of them for me. It really got rid of the bad taste in my mouth from the previous season against a team I really despise.

- 1980 NFC Divisional game against Atlanta - Danny White played one heck of a football game to bring Dallas back for a win.

- 1978 NFC Championship game - The last game I got to watch with a game with my Dad before my parents got divorced. they killed the Rams and we were walking on air.

- 1991 Wild Card Game - Dallas held the Bears on two goal line stands to get their first playoff win under Jimmy Johnson. I knew the future was bright after that game.

- 1991 November win against the undefeated Commanders in RFK. The Commanders were rolling that year and Dallas killed their undefeated season in their own house. It was awesome. (Edit: I see that BraveheartFan posted this as well, oh well, I tried!)
