What is your nightmare scenario for the first three picks taken.

In other words, what three picks would bum you out if they were taken.

Personally I don't really have one at this time.

I think there are enough good players that we should be able to get a good player at #4 no matter who is taken in the first three picks.

I would imagine some would be a nightmare if the Goff and Paxton are both gone.

Yes..it is a slow day.

Nothing for me yet. In fact, I think if we can get an extra 1st round pick, you trade down no matter who is still on the board. That's just me.

I guess the closest I can come is if both Lynch and Goff are gone, because I don't believe Wentz lasts until 34 and I doubt the Cowboys take him at 4. That means the Cowboys either don't get a qb in this draft, or take one that likely isnt worth it (although I still think Hackenberg will be a better pro than college player).

With that being said, there are just too many players I like for there to be a nightmare scenario. If both QBs and say Bosa are gone, I still like Treadwell, Jack, Tunsil, Hargreaves, and maybe even Elliott, although I'm sure most feel #4 is too early for him. I could be talked into Ramsey as well, although those 3 career picks are a big red flag for me.

I don't really have one (a nightmare scenario) at the moment but off the top of my head:

Round 1: Tunsil or Stanley (fine tackles and will be very good pros I think but Dallas doesn't need to draft a RT that high do they?)
Round 2: Hunter Henry or O.J. Howard (both will be very good depending on the team that selects them...Dallas drafting TE's works out for the team that gets them from Dallas since they never get to play or develop. Dallas sure can evaluate starting caliber TE's but they won't play them.)
Round 3: SS (name him...)

Goff, Lynch and Bosa are gone would be it. Tunsil is your only hope of trading down and I don't see getting much value. Teams outside of the top 10 won't be trading up that high for an OT. That leaves nobody really worth the 4th pick to us while severely hampering our trade down possibilities. If one of those 3 is on the board it opens up different possibilities for us.

Really, just anyone that feels like a reach.

If I had to pick one right now, it'd be Bosa. He looks like a SDE to me, without elite measurables. I don't take a guy like that at 4 when you already have a strong SDE candidate coming into his prime

My apologies BP...misinterpreted the OP. Thought you meant first three Cowboys picks...

As it pertains to the actual question...I guess it would be both QB's are gone and Bosa. Leaving Tunsil sitting at 4. Although, that could bring a trade down situation for a team looking for a franchise LT.

My nightmare scenario is one that has a high probability of happening.

1. Tunsil
2. Goff
3. Bosa

If we pick Lynch it is a waste of the highest pick we have had in 25 years.

if Bosa is gone..try to trade down, draft Wentz and Hunter Henry with the first 2 picks....Henry is a Witten clone and may even be better at the same age.....Wentz may be the best qb in the draft a few years down the raod..

I think HHenry would be an exception. He would get playing time if we draft him. Kid can play.

I would only consider Tunsil,Goff and Bosa and Lynch with the 4th pick.I think we are good there.I would be pissed with any DB or Lb in the top 5.

I would not be pissed at the idea of a DB or LB if they felt he was the BPA.

Frankly I would not be shocked at all if they took a DB or Myles at 4.

My nightmare scenario would be that the Cowboys miss out on Lynch, Goff, Wentz, Elliott, Henry and Collins. :(

We need to leave this draft with at least one of these guys, preferably two.

RD1.1 Tunsil
RD1.2 Bosa
RD1.3 Stanley

Both QBs are there. We pass on both and draft Ramsey.

I dont think they SHOULD be BPA,heck now that Jaylon smith is injured no DB or LB is worth a top 10 pick.Ramsey is borderline but i am not sure we pick a safety that high now that we are moving jones to FS.

If that happened I would take Treadwell and not think twice or Ramsey, Hargreaves, Jack, Elliot etc. Lots of talent still to be had.
