I see everyone posting about playoff scenarios. I thought I'd combine the "think ahead to the playoffs" mentality with the "focus on one game at a time" mentality by talking about what makes this next game against Philly significant.

I'm just gonna post what comes to my mind. Please feel free and add things or correct anything I get wrong.

* For starters, the game would almost certainly give Philly the division. It would put them 2 games up with 2 games to go (they'd be a game up and own the tie-breakers). We would need to go 2-0 and them go 0-2.

* It basically gives Green Bay the tie breaker against us. We currently have an even conference record with Green Bay but a better common games record. If we happen to catch Green Bay, we could beat them in a head-to-head. But if we lose to Philly, that goes out the window. Green Bay would then have the better conference record and an even common games record and own any tie-breakers (putting Green Bay essentially 2 games up with 2 games to go.

* It would hurt our chances passing Seattle and Detroit. We would need Seattle or Detroit to go 1-2 and us to go 2-0 in the final games. Seattle is playing way too well right now to see that happening. And Detroit's schedule is a joke.
