What move would you make?

I think before we go and makes alot of changes to secondary that we should get Ware some help.

THEN you can really see what problems you have in your secondary and linebackers.

I would go with two DE's or 1 DE and NT early in first two rounds.

1) Dom Capers
2) Ditch Spencer. Draft Quinn
3) Find a safety
4) Cornerback

I wouldn't ditch Spencer. He's produced before so he is capable. Spencer needs a D Coordinator that can use him correctly.

I bet if we let Spencer go, he will blossom and we will regret it.

FS isn't on our current roster, I like to get a Vet so he can step in and contribute. I don't like a rookie starting at FS.

NT is a must. Ratliff isn't the answer. Our interior DL just get blown away on almost all short yardage situations.

Logan Mankins would be my first, and most important, offseason move after they decide who the HC is.

This o-line absolutely must be upgraded to have any shot of going forward.

Draft BPA (if a WR or QB is BPA trade down pick extra pick)

We sign one big name olinemen (Login Makin would be an example) I also sign at least one young vet RT. in the mold that Kyle Kosier when we signed him.

Then comes the next issue do we resign Kosier too or move Groude to Guard and start Costa at center so I say at least one more vet linemen any poistion to compete in camp with the young guys

Spears, Bowen and Hatcher aare all FA at DE and Igor needs to be cut at end so that leaves us only Lassimore who we keep. We sign Spears or Bowen only one add one cheap vet or draft pick and move ratliff to de and if we need to we can move Rat to nt on passing downs.

Add one big fat strong glob at NT to eat up space on running downs and pair him up with Brent (there is our rotation)

ILB Brooking gone that leaves us with Lee and James (have to keep him at least one more year) draft a LB sign some young FA with speed and make dam well one can play a nickel role. The Vet LB needs to be solid at least I do not need spectacular just solid play. Knows his assignments, can make a tackle and cover.

Safeties we need two vets that know their assignments and can call the defense and pair them up with the young Mcrayy, church and AOA etc to teach them. This FA class is weak of play maker type so we need the solid and can play type.

Corners Jenkins, newman Scandrick, Mcman and two more cb (Draft pick; vet do not care) all spots are open no one is a starter heading into camp may the best CB's win.

OLB Ware, ok hum Spencer I am not sold on he was bad about jumping out of his lane and other things under Wade and has not been as good as flashes have shown. Butler looks like a rushing specialist at this point. So more draft picks or some cheap vets and evryone opposite of Ware fight it out.

WR we are set with Dez and Miles 1-2 I would trade or Cut Roy or at least make him 3rd string all other spots are open a jitter bug WR that can do returns as the 5th WR would be nice. Hurd is gone for sure after that.

RB Felix and pick one do not care Barber or Choice but one has to be traded and sign a vet RB or draft one in the later rounds

TE Witten stays Bennet well keep or maybe trade. Phillips what is his knee like after the injury who knows

Coaching Staff Garret HC let him overhaul coaching roster as he sees fit

Can't do it, won't do it, can't win with one move, won't win with just one move.

So, here is the first move I would do. First name Garrett HC, let him find his new DC, if talk is true then DC stands for Dom Capers, if not Dennis Thurman, at least to coach secondary.

Do what it takes to sign Logan Mankins. Most sure thing at OG we can find this off-season, and a huge fix to our problems running the football.

Stephen Jones has a lot more say so than people realize. He has his dad's ear if you want something done you have to convince Stephen he'll convince Jerry.

Have Jerry step back and hire a real GM but that will never happen so I'd go with a new D co-ordinator and find a real safety to replace Alan Ball

I would fire Jerry Jones the GM and would offer Jimmy Johnson the job with full authority over hs GM duties. If Johnson does not want the job then I open it up to interviewing with Mike Holmgren at the top of that list.

Move Ratliff to end and through free agency, the draft and/or trades find the best anchor D tackles we can.

I still dont understand why they have Rat at NT?...move him to DE and get a huge mammoth to plug the middle.

I think since Bill parcel's moved him there and he played good. When wade go here he liked what he seen and I also remember hearing ratliff say he wants to stay at NT and not move to DE. So you know wade was not going to force the issue. And thats that.

Ratliff to DE. I've always been against this move, but I think it's the one move that Dallas can do that changes this defense overnight, and won't involve free-agency or the draft. I think Ratliff at DE #1 improves the pass rush instantly, #2 eliminates the need for a low round draft pick at the position (provided they also re-sign Spears), and #3 improves the run defense (provided they can find a big hole plugger) by adding a wide body at the NT.
