I think we bring back da blitz and also more TO quick short stuff to get him going. anybody remember a couple of games ago when Ware lined up to cover the slot guy and he came from nowhere and obliterated the qb...

We need to add a few trick plays to win this game.

You know Reid will have at least trick play up his sleeve, he always does in big games.

I expect the same relentless pass rush from Philly. They hope to force Romo into some mistakes. The Eagles will attack the entire game.

I just hope Parcells has these guys more prepared than the Saints game. We simply cannot play our regular schemes and expect to beat Philly. We have to have a shock and awe game plan that catches Philly off guard.

Our blitz is ineffective. So why bring it back?

Use the same game plan we used last year when we whipped them at home !

Somehow the blitz seemed to work then.

Our blitz is just vanilla.

Need to be fun and creative with it. When the guard sees Roy walking towards him, it's easy to pick up. You need to get flashy.

actually i was at the game and if it wasnt for vicks elusiveness we would have had other QBs on some of the blitzes.

some of them were really smart.

others....

sigh...produced three 40+ yard gains in the air.

you live and die by the blitz.

Well, certainly we need to spy with Carpenter again.

They lined Ware at nickel CB vs. the Colts, and it obviously confused Manning.. because Ware actually covered the nickel QB a few times.

Right, I think we need to be more concerned with Westbrook than Garcia.

Your talking about 1 run, 1 run does not make Garcia, Mike Vick. Garcia is not going to be pulling the ball down and start running not if the eagles plan on winning. Dallas is not going to use a spy on Jeff like they did Vick, there is no reason to do that.

I was half joking -- but actually going back and looking at some of his play, he does move around well.

In fact, and I HATE to say this, he reminds me of Romo a bit.

We need to play a lot of zone. It's the best way to defend a weak armed or inaccurate QB.

Change up the number of pass rushers. 3 one play 5 the next.

The softer zone with three rushers will really put Garcia's arm strenght to the test. From what I've seen I'm not impressed. No real zip.

Lots of defenders in the short and intermediate zones to break on those weak passes. Tips, pickoffs or my favortie, big hits on receivers just as the ball arrives.

Zone will give us lots of eyes in the backfield and decrease the possiblity of a long run from Westbrook. It will also help to cantain him in the passing game.

Reid loves the onside kick - i'm sure our guys will be coached to look out for it. I think Westbrook can throw a pretty decent pass - defenders all coming up on him might leave a WR or TE wide open for a big TD. also, i'm sure they'll have at least one reverse.

on our side, Parcells used to have a trick play for nearly every game, but as we've gotten better, he's scaled back on those. I would love to see us use a HB pass, either Jones or Barber throwing to TO who being physical would have a better chance of outmuscling a defender if the throw is a little off. and let's remember Romo is the holder for FGs - who better to have in for a fake FG than a mobile free-lancing type like Romo? I hope we don't try an onside kick though - I just have a feeling we'd never be able to recover it.

He is 50/50 trying that against Dallas, I bet he washes his hands of it on account of it being the deciding factor of Dallas' 23-21 win in 2003.
