I used the Aikman index to qualify our upcoming opponents along with the teams they played the previous week.

8 Eagles 11th offense 7th defense: Boys playing Eagles after bye nice for us
9 Browns 21st offense 31 defense : Browns play Jets before our game
10 Steelers 7th offense 13th defense : Steelers play Ravens week before our game
11 Ravens 25th offense 6th defense : Browns play Ravens on a Thursday 10 days later the boys
12 Skins 14th offense 20th defense : Packers play Skins, this is short week we play on Thursday four days after Ravens game
13 Vikes 18th offense 2nd defense : Lions play Vikes on Thursday, we play them one week later on Thursday we both have 7 days between games
14 Giants 17th offense 30th defense : Steelers play Giants week before and we play 10 days after Vikes game
15 Bucs 31th offense 23rd defense : Chargers playing bucs week before our game
16 Lions 8th offense 32 defense : Playing Bears week before our game
17 Eagles 11th offense 7th defense : Playing Giants week before our game

That Ravens, Skins, and Vikings stretch is brutal. IMO Tony cannot be ready for a short week just like last year he needs too much rest in between games to be fully functional and recovered. We get through this season with a playoff berth and we will be fully vetted to go far into the bracket.
Depends on injuries down the stretch.

Both to others and ourselves.

If we stay healthy and get a few guys back..

it's likely we prevail..

if we have any significant loss..

not so much.

We have some depth at important positions except on defense.

That's our Achilles Heel.

Our starters are Ok..

but our D is not built to withstand too much.

If we were to lose a game it would be vs a divisional opponent.

Looking at the NFC it would take a team that is very well balanced or opportunistic.

Teams that fill the bill:

Philly- They have a good pass rush. Move the ball ok on offense, dangerous on ST.

NYG- Do good stopping the run and can create TOs in the secondary. No run game, but they can move the ball in the passing game.

GB- Defense is very opportunistic in how they get timely stops and TO. They're more worrisome if they have a lead. On offense they're not in sync. Overall, if we faced them again we would roll those guys over again.

ATL- They have an offense that'll can make big plays, but they're inconsistent on defense. Jumping in these guys would open up a blow since we keep them one dimensional.

SEA- Good defense and they can create TOs. They have a strong pass rush. Offense is shaky but they do have the pedigree to overcome obstackes.

MIN- Defense will get them in the playoffs and AP may help them cement their division. Bradford won't beat us.

Overall, we're deep in the mix of this thing. I expected the heavy hitters to come out with a W today and all three failed; ATL, MIN, and SEA.

I know it's only week 7, but it feels good to have that #1 seed. Now let's keep it and lay it on Philly Sunday night. This place is going to go crazy no matter the result!!

I agree without some major injuries the Cowboys are going to be a tough out for any opponent on our schedule. You have to go all out to stop one of our three headed monsters and hope the other two do not decimate you in the process. Excellent time to be a cowboys fan...

I think a Eagles victory sends me to start thinking about the bigger picture not quite there at this point in the season. I am very worried about the short week with the Commanders on Thanksgiving as I still do not understand what will happen with Tony when he gets "healthy" and has a three day rest.

We control our own destiny. Can't ask for more than that.

Yes, and this is where we can, and need to take control of the NFC. We beat Philly and don't look back. We will need to eventually beat the Vikings, but that game is further out. But as of the standing s today, we will need to beat them.
That tie between Seattle and Arizona may eventually do them in as for seeding or even making the playoffs. It will hurt them both, while helping another team. Such as us, GB, Minnesota, even Washington or Philly based on the records so far. Heck it could even help Detroit, or a NFC South team.

I am not concerned with the short week. We know how to prepare better than other teams. Other than the Lions.
We play a home noon time game on that Sunday before against the Ravens.
Washington plays a Sunday night home game against GB before they travel here.
so the break, FOR ONCE goes our way.
We don't know if Tony or Dak will be playing, so can't be concerned with that right now.

I really was most concerned if Tony was at the helm during the short week. Sounds like things might be more serious with Tony than the FO has let on, he should of been practicing by this time after the injury. I hope not but this puts Dak in the driver's seat for the remaining season. Do you know if Kellen will be back this season, I have little faith in Mark Sanchez?

Tony was back at practice today from what I seen. There are tweets out there about it. But I do not to twitter so can't post them.

I look at it like this. The Bucs and the Browns games are a W. That leaves 8 games. Even if we split them and go 4 & 4 that gives the Boys a 11-5 record. I think they will do better than that. Probably 12-4 again and win the division just because some of those wins will happen against divisional opponents plus they will play each other. If the Boys beat the Eagles this Sunday they will have a great advantage. The division will be theirs to lose.

I think Tony is being shelved as the #3 QB until December.

I would like to see us play Sanchez before we evaluate Romo coming back, too.

It maybe Sanchez is more ready than Romo and more healthy.

We just don't know much at this point.

I have watched Sanchez before it is a slow train wreck IMO. I never felt like he had a feel for the game.

I have my fingers crossed he has two more seasons left, I really like him and what he has done. I saw the pics he was in sweats while the rest were in pads.

I see 7-8 wins minimum and I"m typically a glass half empty kinda guy. I see one loss at Philly, one vs. the Vikes (good run D) and ...that's about it. 8 wins it is!

I dont think Sanchez has ever had a RB like Zeke, or a WR like Dez, a TE like Witten or an OL like ours.

Sanchez might be as good as Romo and more experienced than DAK.

I would like to see him play. I prefer him over Kellen Moore for sure.

I see the Lions as being a difficult out and a team I did not respect at the beginning of the season, especially with the way Golden Tate and Stafford are connecting.
