Hobbled or not....his offensive line was healthy and they are some beasts. They were better than ours today.

But it's not like our defensive line is all that talented. They're just hard workers. Let's get some talent on that line.

Aaron Rodgers lights up teams that blitz. We held a high powered offense to 26 points in a stadium that they haven't lost in years with a QB who has the highest career passer rating in NFL history and they were coming off a bye.

Our defense did enough.

Our offense did enough also. You have to expect this game to be close as most are. All we can hope for is that we are able to win a close game......

And that's where the Ref's stole our season today.
Romo to Dez was awesome on 4th down with 4 minutes to go.
The game was stolen from us and regardless of missed opportunities or a play here or there're all know that if the Ref's didn't blow that call we had a very good chance to pull off the upset.

Oh I agree we need some talent but I don't think they are a terrible unit. They just need one or two more playmakers. That's about what set them apart from most defensive lines in this league.

people want to say it was our blown opportunities or Murrays fumble or any number of other plays that they point the finger at which allows them to not be upset over the real reason we lost the game.

The Ref's call on Dez's 4th and 2 catch...

People need to realize this is the NFL where every game is a close game. In every game both teams can look back on blown opportunities. This is what happens in the NFL. Almost every game is close. Rarely does a team play a perfect game against a good opponent.

Tony Romo did a great job to put us on the goal line with 4 minutes left in the game.
Dez did an amazing job of catching that ball and making a football move towards to end zone.

The ref took this game from us.
I don't know if this hurts more because it happened to us or if it hurts more that we witnessed the degrading and cheapening of the sport today. The NFL is supposed to be entertaining. Part of this entertaining is having a fair and balanced product where fans can get excited in the offseason for the upcoming season. The hype is huge for us fans. Having something like this succeeds in turning people away from having an emotional investment in such a flawed product. It's become a sad joke these days. The league wanted teams to all be competitive and they pushed for parity. Well when most teams are about the same in talent you will have most games come down to the end of the game and then you get this result.

The league needs to stop paying Roger Goodell 22 million per year when they pay the Ref's 2k per game. In the world of parity the game needs to be in the hands of more professional refs.

Today this form of entertainment made my 5 year old cry. I was holding him when he was crying and wondering why I was getting him involved with such a flawed product that will be certain to cause him the same frustration in his life that it has caused in so many of ours.

This in the bold.

I won't lie. I'd be happy as hell, and take the Win feeling good, if this happened to GB.

Just like vs Detroit. We laughed, and told them to get over it. Posted Meme's ect.... It's the nature of the game, it happens. You have to let your son know that sometimes the calls will swing your way. When it does, you most likely will get happy, if not, you will feel cheated.

Only 2 ways to fix this.

Alter some of the rules, and also be allowed to review everything. Questionable penalties, ect. Have a guy in a booth, already waiting to confirm every flag or call made on the field.

or

Hire Robots

As long as humans are allowed to make judgement calls, ect ect. There will be mistakes. We are humans

This occurred to me when the game ended. There where a lot of snide comments here on CZ about the Lions basically being told to stop whining and get over it. Those kind of comments are bad karma IMHO.

One thing that bugs me is, the Packers had 8 in the box pretty much every first down and we didnt go deep to Dez until literally the last offensive play of the season.

It's absolutely embarrassing that the ref in a NFL playoff game was coaching multiple college basketball games the week before the game instead of studying the bloody NFL rule book.

It's the truth. Some here on the forum don't want to hear it, but man, how soon we forget the way we acted last week huh?

I'm part of another sports forum, where all fans from all over get together. The cowboys fans in there were laughing, and telling them to get over it, posting meme's just like we did on here. Guess What? Now I see greenbay fans telling the cowboys fans "That karma is a....." ect ect and posting Meme's. Really and truly, you can't get mad. We had our laugh last week.

The problem in this case is the call actually went to the booth and it was still blown. So any fixes for this kind of mistake won't even fix it since the call went to the booth.

I don't know if there is a way to fix it unfortunately. It's a shame that so many games come to this these days. This is part of the new NFL that makes me miss the old days.

I would rather us lose 35-3 and know we just were not good enough than to have refs take the game away when the season has been such a fight week in and week out. Like Dez said after the game....he just didn't want to find out this week that it was actually a catch....sorry Dez but it was a catch.

Which is why I said, they need to Alter the rules. Even after the game the commentators and TE Gonzalez said they should as well. It's a stupid rule, but it was called correctly.

There is a big difference between fans begging for a flag that may or may not be warranted than fans being upset that the replay booth screwed us out of a catch ruled a catch on the field. Also with the lions flag many angles proved hitches didn't interfere with him. No angles justify the call today. The opposite actually.

I agree, I just wish Dez didn't have to play Superman towards the end. We shouldn't have even been in that situation.

It wasn't called correctly since Dez made a football move after switching hands with the ball. Calling it correctly would be to let the play stand since almost everyone can agree that Dez reached for the end zone.

What really cost Dallas? The LACK of a consistant pass rush.

Rodgers, playing on 1.5legs, sacked just ONCE and hit only 2 times.

As I think most of us suspected at some point this could hurt us the lack of a consistent pass rush finally did us in.

I hear you, but be honest. Had it been us, you mean to tell me half this forum wouldn't flip it's lid over the flag being picked up?

I was shocked it got picked up. I was watching it with my boy, and was like what the hell? They actually picked it up after all that time? Still I smirked and was happy.

So imagine a fan that it's happening to.

How about just getting some full time professional refs who aren't spending their spare time refing college basketball games?

This is what I first thought when I saw it, he made a football move, but hey, I saw CJ's and his looked way more flawless than Dez's. So if that got picked up, then I guess Dez's had to as well?

Me personally though? Great play by Dez. I feel like he made a hell of a play.
