What round do you pull the trigger on Lattimore?

I think I would pull the trigger on him if he is still sitting there in the 5th round. Maybe even the 4th.

Thoughts?

I like the idea of taking a flyer on a running back to compliment Murray. I think there is real value in Lattimore, and if we can get him late enough it mitigates the risk of him not being healthy short term or long term.

That being said I'd also have to think about Le'Veon Bell if he is still there in the 3rd round.

Joseph Randle and Stepfan Taylor are also legitimate selections in the 3rd or 4th rounds.

Lattimore may certainly fall because of the multitude of options out there this year.

Not a fan of Bell, but I'd love to grab Taylor in the 4th.

4th round or later. I would then pick up a RB in free agency and not rush him back.

Easily the 4th. This kid is incredibly tallented an should have been a 1st rounder, save the injuries. Lattimore is going to make a tea very happy.

I wouldn't pull the trigger at him at all. He will not play at all in 2013 and there is a chance he will never be the same due to the injuries. There are a lot of high risk high reward players in this draft that I like ie Da'Rick Rogers/Tyrann Mathieu but don't give me Lattimore

As long as he does his rehab he will be back to his old self. There is no indication that he will have any career limitations. If anything it will be a mental issue.

Let's say he does return to 100 percent and is back to his old self.. We lose out on his first year.. We need a back-up runningback badly.. and we need all of our picks badly..

The average RB probably lasts about 4 years.. Let's give him 4. Him missing next year takes away 25 % of his career already. Give me Bell, Ellington, etc.

There are teams in position to get guys who can't play for a year but we are not one of those teams.. Esp. at RB. We need a guy who can step in now..

It'd have to be round 5 or later.
I like a lot of the RBs in this years class: Bernard,Ellington,Barner,Franklin,Riddick,Bell,Ball,Taylor. There are so many RB's who can contribute this year, that I'd have to see several names off the list before I think about it.

I understand that Lattimore would have been a first rnd pick talent wise, but he has torn that knee up twice, and we already have dealt with several Rb's that have injury concerns. I'd rather get someone durable who has healthy legs, although I wouldn't take him completely off my board.

we selected murray in the 3rd round because he was super productive but somewhat injury prone in college, so far he has been just that, super productive on the field but injured somewhat. We also selected both carter and lee in the second round, they were super productive but had just had a major injury before coming out and both have been very good to outstanding after their first year. I think if you evaluate him without the injury he is clearly a first round value and while I don't think we would spend our second round pick on him I could see us moving back into the second to get him because I think he is worth waiting a year for. If he is there in the third I can't see us passing on him because I think the organization under garrett really trusts their board and he will be by far the highest available at that point.

Plus I really think they could get away with saying 'hey we addressed this position in the draft' even though he probably won't help us next/this season

He's a great kid and a good football player. Type of player you need on your team.

I like Taylor a lot before Latimore...but, to answer your question, it would depend on the rest of the draft. If the RB's haven't really gone for the most part, I might try to wait untilthe 5th...realitcially, we should be going BPA, especially in the 4th and after...

Undrafted FA.....possibly 6th round.

You cannot take an injured RB, who still isn't ready for the field and whose health is still in question in mid rounds.

5th, which is where I start looking seriously at RB. I probably wait until 6th or 7th (if we get one) for a RB. However, it's all about value. Franklin in the 3rd or even someone the team loves in the 2nd isn't going to make me go too crazy.

My question is, could we get Knile Davis in the 6th instead? The are pretty much the same size and would both compliment Murray. Plus, Jerry would probably wait a few rounds to nab his fellow Razorback.

Remarkably Lattimore had no nerve damage with his injury and he has progressed very rapidly. There is no reason for him not to go higher but many clubs will be put off by it. It doesn't scare me one iota.
