I think now it should be clear that at this stage of the season we're the best team in the NFC hands down. That can change, but there seems to be some offensively challenged teams with great defenses. Those kind of teams can be dangerous in the playoffs. We really need to secure home field advantage.

Falcons gave up a huge lead to the Chargers and lost today. They start good every year then end up 2-8 to finish. Not scared

Eagles can't keep scoring on defense and special teams. In 2014 they were the same way until after we beat them and took over first place. Wentz isn't getting as lucky with teams dropping interceptions and had 2 he threw today and should have been more. Their defense has kept them in games but that defense can't stop our offense.

Commanders......we already beat them chumps

Seattle is a mess. They rely on defense but it isn't as good as one before. I trust our OL over Seattle DL any day.

Cardinals hasn't played well so far. That being said you stop David Johnson you win the game.

Vikings are like the Eagles in a lot of ways. Their defense is the strongest part but our offense is much better.

To recap. Vikings, Seattle and Eagles are all the same. Good defenses but subpar offenses. Our strength is controlling the game on offense.....bad match-up for them, good for us.

Falcons has a tremendous offense that can score both passing and rushing. Their defense is suspect but Vic Beasley looks like he is turning into a beast....good thing we can take him out with our strength in the OL.

Cardinals might not even make the playoffs but again palmer will make mistakes so shut down Johnson and you can win.

Commanders have already been punked. They are no threat to us or making the playoffs. Cousins have Sanchez butt fumble moments at least once a game

I think you could also throw the Commanders and Giants in that mix. We need to bump all the NFC teams out of the playoffs if possible.

Falcons, Eagles, Commanders, Seahawks, cardinals, and vikes are the toughest
We are our own biggest threat Falcons can't score if they don't have the ball we are better now then when we beat the Skins Seattle O is not impressive and we will run on them like no ones business Vikes can't run they can pass which just so happens pass defense is what we do well. Which leaves Cardinals and Eagles as long as we play these two on the road in the playoffs we will be ok Arizona is a home game for us with louder Cowboy fans and as of late we own the Beagles in Philadelphia

Our offense is too potent for the Hawks defense. We blow the Hawks out easily.

Clearly we are our own biggest threat.

Sorry to bring it up..

but this team has a history of choking under pressure.

I' m not convinced yet we don't have some wheels come off yet.

Our defense is going to have more and more pressure placed on it in the weeks ahead"

Will our weaknesses exposé us fatally.?

It's going to be the difference..

one way or another.

I subscribe to the Parcells statement that you don't really know what kind of team you've got until mid-November. All the teams mentioned earlier should be in the thick of it with Seattle perched on top,,, maybe Atlanta,,, if our defense improves we should be able to compete with them.

7 weeks into the season and we are the most consistent, most balanced and, thus, best team in the NFC. A LOT CAN CHANGE in 10 weeks before the playoffs, but our match ups are a problem for the entire NFL. No one has come close to stopping our offense. We march up and down the field every game like the methodical Aikman teams from the 1990s. Our defense has been very sound.

But if nothing changes between now and the Superbowl, the Patriots are the only team that stands in our way in my opinion. Denver doesn't have a QB good enough to repeat. The Raiders I doubt are good enough to beat the Patriots, although they deserve to from the "tuck" disaster that went against them. Pittsburgh goes as far as Big Ben's knee.

So, 7 weeks in and things are shaping up great. We HAVE TO get home field in the playoffs. It all begins there.

I like to look at it from the opponents perspective. How many teams in the top 5 are comfortable facing this current Cowboys squad? I like our chances even if our defense is the big ??? The weird thing is these rookies don't even realize they are supposed to be sitting at 5-1.

There is going to be six teams all at about the same level and not a powerhouse. The one game that doesn't give me confidence is if we have to play IN Atlanta. They are our toughest match-up IMO.

Philly might end up being our second toughest opponent but who knows at this point, still pretty early.
