It is my belief that for someone to know that they can perform under pressure, they have to actually perform under pressure. I think that this weekend, this team needs to play sound football and win a very close, hard fought game. This team needs to learn how to win the close games,, something it hasn't done the last 2 years. So my perfect game this weekend:

No Turnovers, No penalities, and a last second FG to win..

Final Score: Dallas 23 Arz 21

We really need mistake-free football this game. We should pound and pound and thrash them. It shouldnt be close... lets get it done.

Talent to talent - all they have is WR's.

If this game turns on a last second field goal, you might as well quit on playoff hopes.

Well yes and no....
  • yes we will take a win anyway we can get it
  • no in the sense that if we do ALL the same things, make the same mistakes we could be in trouble

I would prefer they just come out and score on the first drive and then dominate the whole game. This team needs to realize it's own potential, it needs to come out and play a complete game so they can see for themselves what they are capable of if they put it all together.

Therefore 38-13 Dallas... there is no reason it shouldn't happen. Leinart isn't going to be real comfortable playing against the 3-4 for the first time. The safeties will be tested on jump balls to Fitz and Boldin and the defense should have several opportunities to make big plays.

Don't be suprised if Leinart picks our 3-4 apart. His entire college career was in a pro-style offense, by a former NFL coach.

I agree about what we should do, just not real confident that we'll make those big "jump-ball" plays...

I'm hoping for better than that. I'll take any win but my hope is Dallas can put this game away and not let it come down to a FG for the win.

No thanks.

I have no faith in Vandernuts so I'd prefer that the game didn't come down to a last second FG.

If it were to come down to that then we're going 4-5.

What we need more than anything is a blowout. We've got 3 games in 12 days - all 3 against pretty weak run D's. More than anything we need to control these 3 games by running. That means a big load for Julius and MBIII. If we can get a blow out against AZ then we can use Kincade to mop up and rest the guys we'll need against Indy and TB.

I want to say that but a win is a win...........Dallas should win by 14 at least......the cardinals should score no more then 10 on offense.

I know what I WANT - a mistake-free, confidence-building win resounding and lop-sided enough to build enough momentum to take Indy and thereafter.

And I know what I'll TAKE - even one misreable sloppy point more than Arizona.

But agreed - this is a game in which HOW we win matters..and matters a lot.

If we play this game with no turnovers and no penalties then we will blow them out 38-6.

Got a news flash for you... the Cardinals SUCK! They have a decent defense at times but they can also play horribly. They have a ton of talent on offense but have yet to put it together.

They are a year and new coaching staff away from being average and a new owner away from ever being good.

I did not see the AZ/Bears game...so, what did AZ do in that game to keep it so close?

Was it the AZ defense or offense?

What did the Bears NOT do to keep the game that close?

I fully expect my Cowboys to win this game against the Cards going away. Yes I've heard the Cards are desperate, but so are we and our guys play well when they are up against it. It's just that we can't seem to get over the hump and do it 2 games in a row. So we should win against the Cards which makes us 5-4 but again we next play Colts and we all know (despite what we desperately hope will happen) that we lose that game cause we can't seem to win 2 games in a row.

I'm hoping against hope we can somehow, after beating the Cards, go on a long winning streak (I'd be happy with a 3 game winning streak) but who knows.

Unfortunately, at this point in the season my old analyst training tells me this team now has a proven track record of underperforming and committing wholesale mistakes. I really think we have a lot of talent on this team. Maybe it is simply that we have brought in too many new people and the team hasn't jelled yet.

But we certainly aren't the team we all hoped we'd be. Don't want to even think about what happens if we lose to the Cards.

Leinart was excellent at beating the Chicago blitz, rolled, moved, and escaped in the pocket, and had great clutch catches, especially by Boldin. Edge ran hard, for almost nothing(30 yards).
(JJ Arrington looked like a better runner, but he wasn't used!)
Arizona's defense escaped from an opening pass to Berian, overthrown by Grossman. Then the Arizona secondary had some BIG hits on receivers that knocked out completions. And the Arizona secondary, unlike the Dallas secondary, showed GOOD HANDS, and intercepted Grossman 4 times.
Arizona WON the game....except the great Rakkers couldn't hit a chip-shot field goal with no time left. Sound familiar?

Thanks for the recap....

This is going to be a hell of a game! AZ always plays the Boyz tough, so, the Cowboys BETTER be on their toes the whole game...

I have different thoughts about some games...like the RedStinks or eagles don't bother me much anymore...but, AZ does give me some bad thoughts...

I hope I'm wrong....!

Are you an AZ fan?

I'm not an AZ fan, but really wanted them to win...mostly because I wanted all 4 MNF 'experts' to be wrong, and because Theismann had just crowned Chicago as invincible, and he said they'd finish the season 19 wins, 0 losses.
I think that game will be remembered, by everyone who watched it.
