The problem with this arrangement is that if you have one QB who can change plays to match up scheme wise, what happens when another QB has to play? You say look at our record with Romo on the field, well about our record when he is not on the field?

We have not won a game without Romo under center for half a decade........last win by another QB was John Kitna back in 2010........5 yrs ago.

So you are telling me that we have an offensive system that is designed around one single player......is that really a smart thing to do, to become so dependent upon one single player that you lose every game without him for half a decade?

You forgot way back when they told us they were implementing a "Romo-Friendly Offense?"

To beat a dead horse, I just don't think any of them are fast enough. Dez is Dez and can outjump and out work DBs.

TWill was tested at 4.52 and Lucky at 4.41. Not bad but not lights out.

Dez 4.52... Street 4.55... Cole 4.49... Witten 4.6-4.7

T-Will is faster than his 40 indicates. Beasley really doesn't need down the field speed, his cuts and route running. Witten sadly has cement for feet and he's just going to get slower. The few times I see Escobar on the field, I just love that slight burst he has. Sadly, his ceiling isn't very high himself.

LOL I guessed I touched a nerve with you concerning your boy Garrett.

We were pass happy this entire year not only this game. Even with our wins. So I don't know what your talking about.

The only think striking a nerve is my incredible distaste for remarkably agenda driven arguments.

We are throwing 51% of the time this year - that's up from 47% last year. However, that clearly is not "pass happy. Pass happy was 2014 when we threw 60% of the time.

Rather than attribute our jump in passing to bad coaching, let's actually look at why we threw more.
Week 1. Down by 10 points with 8 minutes left in the game. We have the ball twice and pass 12 times. Pass happy? No, that's how you have to play with limited time.

Week 3. After running all over the Falcons early, they go all out to take away the run. Every run is getting stuffed. The challenge us to pass, we do but can't connect because Weeden sucks. Pass happy? No the defense was giving us the pass. They give you the pass, you take it. Once again, lots of passing when we were down by a few scores.

Week7 &8 - Oh wait. We ran way more than we passed those weeks. How'd that go?

Week 9 - Pass almost exclusively the last two drives of the game. Why? Stop me if you think you've heard this one before ... we were down in the game and the clock was running out. Guess what? We scored both times. Pass happy or playing good situational football?

Week 11. Again ran way more than we passed. Pass happy?

Week 12. One of the most imbalanced games of the year. Close to half of our 40 pass come in the last 5 minutes of the game down by a massive amount of points. Pass happy? More like not giving up.

So clearly, this "pass happy" argument is garbage.

Is it smart to design a scheme around your talent? That's your question? Do the Pats design for Brady? Do the Packers design for Rodgers? Of course they do.

We've failed to develop a decent backup plan. That's not coaching, it is front office.
