What three players need to be cut next?

The only player I would cut before camp is Ellis.

Apparently, many of you are led to believe that finding solid left tackles is easy. Apparently, many of you have forgotten our issues finding serviceable backups on the offensive line, even after spending numerous first day draft picks on them.....and you wan't to get rid of Adams?

I get as pissed as the next guy with Adams, but you just don't drop him without finding a suitable replacement FIRST. Depending on someone to "step up", is an enormous gamble with a 65 million dollar QB depending on it.

I'd give Stanback, Carpenter, Hurd, and most of the younger backup O-line (Free/McQuistan) one more camp to prove themselves.....if they don't show measurable improvement, then Peacy McSeeya.

...and I sure as hell would not offer Burnett a sizeable contract. Let him walk for the money he wants.

If we move Adams to center, he will always know when the ball is being snapped. So, that would alleviate the need for the hearing aid that he doesn't use apparently! Is anyone on the same page about this? :)

i'm sorry for this...

i did not know he was released.

i'm happy as hell though.

He wasn't released. His contract expired and we didn't resign him. He's a FA.

Ellis - for cap room and he's a whiny *****

Stanback - injury prone - I like but we can't trust his shoulder

Proctor - no explanation needed

We can't cut Flo because we dont' have ANYONE to replace him. We also can't cut Ellis, for the same reason. Even if Spencer takes the majority of snaps opposite Ware, we've still got to have some depth at OLB. What would happen if Spencer got hurt (again) or God forbid Ware goes down? I just can't see us getting rid of Ellis considering we've become relatively thin at LB.

Isn't Matt Stewart an OLB? He's solid depth IMO.

Nobody. Ellis is not going anywhere. He like to whine to JJT about his contract and hes not doing that this year. If anything he is perhaps the only Cowboy I have seen so far that was able to pull teammates aside, take them to task during a game and get some results.

He's a JAG. No way he could replace Ellis' pass rush.

I didn't suggest he could. I said he could add to depth. I would expect Spencer to be the guy to replace Ellis' production if we were to get rid of him.

Simply trying to point out that we have numbers at linebacker...whether or not we've got talent in our depth remains to be seen.

Good point, Fuzzy. Plus, we can't lose his production, even as a backup which I think he will be this year. We don't have anyone on the roster to replace him or Flozell.

Greg Ellis will cost you $ 6.25 million dollars to keep him.

$ 6.25 million dollars for a third down rusher who had 3 sacks in the first 10 games?

1-800-SEEYA

Injuries slowed Anthony Spencer down last year and so did old man Ellis.

and 5 in the last 6 then right? Yeah I'm not ready to give that up yet. The coaching staff should give him the role of 3rd down rusher and if he complains, ignore him. He isn't the divisive force that TO is, so him being upset is no big deal.

Just Ellis for now. I'd like to see a few people lose their jobs in training camp to the rookies -- Proctor, Stanback, etc.

Only because the media spot light isn't on him.

Well, if old man Ellis slowed down Spencer, that says a lot about Spencer's abilities......
