What trade value does Julius have this offseason?

I personally would have traded him last year when we had a chance, especially if the rumors of the jets offering a 2nd round pick were true. After carefully evaluating JJ during the 2006 season, it's clear that his days as a Cowboy are numbered. He has stayed healthy this year but the results have been disappointing to say the least. He is a mediorce pass catcher and a horrible pass blocker.

Marion Barber is the real deal and has the potential to be a 1500+ yard rusher and 700+ yard receiver if given a bulk of the games carries. Probably could challenge LT next year for the TD record as well as a starter.

I think that if we could get a 4th or 5th rounder for JJ than we should be in good shape with Barber starting, then drafting another young back in the late rounds to develop. If nobody bites than we can just release him and take the cap hit.

If all we can get is a 4th or 5th, we won't make the trade. I'd bet that is all we can get.

If Culpepper was worth a 2nd, than I imagine we could get at least that for Bledsoe....he still has some game left in him I'm telling you right now.

Or perhaps we could keep Bledsoe and package Romo, JJ and TO for a stud olineman and receiver?

That statement is idiotic, funny you only come around when the Cowboys lose a few games....

He is young and could end up with about 1200-1300 yds this season....I would say he is worth a 3rd rounder.....for a team in need of a RB. I bet if we dangled him at Houston or Oakland they may bite.....

Houston has crap, even though Lundy has shown flashes of being decent.....Jordan was a horrible trade for Oakland.

other than those two teams, i dont really see any other suitors.......well perhaps Minnesota or GB....but I see them drafting a RB instead of trading for one.

Munchis started a thread about Julius Jones' possible trade value next year.
Guess who else started the same thread on "the other board"?
The village idiot is exposed once again.

The Jets could still go for Jones with their second pick. Doesn't look like a very deep class of RB's to me. Oakland and Houston will hold on to their higher picks in the 2nd round IMO.

I think Barber is the real deal too and if Thompson comes back strong he can be his caddy. :)

I just hope that if Bledsoe goes to oakland, JJ don't follow....he's a mediorce back that has been hyped up since his Norte Dame days. Has one good game a season (when healthy) and can't block worth crap.

If Barber had been starting since last year we wouldn't be struggling on offense right now and Bledsoe still might be playing....
