Hind sight is 20/20....

but benching Bledsoe for Romo...

was a mistake.

12-7 at half?

we were down 6-3 to the Texans last week.

Bledsoe didnt lose the game. Romo did.

thinking the season is in the crapper with Drew as we'd have been 3-3 regardless...

thinking he should have pulled the plug on Drew after Jax and for certain after Philly meltdown.

thinking it's better to lose with a possible future QB than a guy who is done.

Parcells was just doing what he wanted to do at Jacksonville but he couldn't do it to his boy.

Bledsoe didnt lose the game. Romo did.

The o-line contributed GREATLY to the demise of this team last week.

NONE of them should have accepted their paychecks with their heads held high.

Bledsoe didn't get benched for what he did in the first half of the Gnats game. He got benched for things he's done all season (or rather, hasn't done?).

Or maybe he got benched cuz he knew the OL couldn't protect him, and with Romo, at least we had a chance to escape the inevitable (sp?) pressure. I think if we were able to protect him, he wouldn't of been benched.

That is exactly thre reason that I think it happened...and partly why DB gets the nod this week.

So you bashed hell out him when he kept Vinny playing and now you bash him for going to Romo.......don't think I don't remember your idiotic posts on ESPN. And whats funny it I look at your signature and there Carter.....I remember how hard you fought to say that Carter was Jesus and when proven wrong and confronted with your carter man love, you turn tail and run......

anyway, nice to see you again.....

It's a race to the finish now. Who will retire 1st, Bledsoe or Parcells.

Still in the game, down by 5 points and he goes for the sure loss by putting in Romo. Odds are Bledsoe would have won last night. He usually has 1 decent 1/2 of football.

Oh well..piss this season away for the future. Bill is old and senile and it shows.

There was no way that Bledsoe won anything last night.

It was the QB's versus the world, the line werent helping them, the RB's were doing anything, the defense was pathetic.

With Romo, at least the offense isnt in constant max protection and the ball was spread around for the first real time all season.

I personally think he should have given DB at least part of the 3rd quarter. We were still in the game, and getting the ball back. I think Parcells jumped the gun on this one and it cost us 1st place.

I don't know about that. We likely wouldn't of lost by as much, but I don't know if we would have won.

sometimes when i'm watching boxing i see a fighter absorb so many blows and get busted up so bad i start yelling for his corner to throw in the towel.

i don't know these fighters personally and i realize their seconds can't hear me. but still i yell.

i didn't need to see bledsoe replicate his first-half act to know the fight, with him in it, was pretty much decided.

when they announced romo would start the second half... i was first, shocked... then relieved... and, ultimately, very excited to see how things would unfold.

i was back to thinking we had a chance. and though i was quickly returned to earth - i feel the change was, and is, necessary. cuz bledsoe doesn't have a fighting chance behind our line. romo may not either. but he has a better chance than drew. at least for now.

Yeah I agree (somewhat). I'm kind of on the fence here.

I didn't think benching Bledsoe while down only 5 was the greatest move, then again that int stung big time, plus Parcells probably realized there was no way we were gonna be able to protect him. And he KNOWS that Bledsoe is useless w/o protection.

Alright folks a day after the storm has passed, Parcells is thinking to himself :

"Yeah I did the right thing for both the immediate and longterm success of this franchise..."

IMO, Bledsoe had lost the team before Shephard ever crossed the goal line against Philly.

Parcells thought that Bledsoe might be able to build off the big second half against the Texans. When Bledsoe looked as bad as ever against NY, BP knew it was time.

I called all of you guys who thought Romo should start from Day 1 crazy. Now I wish it was true. We'd probably be sitting at 3-3, with a better idea of what Romo has, and at least confident that he has 6 games experience.

Thinking back on the season, I am still not convinced there was any one play that Bledsoe made that only he could have made. There hasn't been many throws into tight coverage...at least that weren't picked. He hasn't delivered any come backs. He's folded after taking a few sacks. Nothing he did has me believing in Bledsoe.
