I'm not sure what the final point is..... what if they come out I'm directly connect it? So fine-- football and concussions can be dangerous to your long-term health. Is this shocking to anyone?

We've Already seen a generation of football players grow old who had far less protection than players now, so to claim there is no sample / survey size doesn't hold water with me. We can see these people everyday.

TBH- it just boggles common sense. Yes- the sport is violent and that brings risks, just like other sports / activities already mentioned. Throw bull riding and motocross in there as well.

Can we make it safer? Certainly.
Can we remove all risk? Certain not.

Hard to say what will happen. I do know there are many professions that are a lot more dangerous and for a lot less pay.

US Army. 11B/M

Logging workers
Fatality rate: 110.9 per 100,000 workers; 78 total

Risk factors: Total logging fatalities in the U.S. increased from 59 to 78 between 2013 and 2014. Dangers abound when you spend most of your days outside with heavy machinery, often in bad weather and occasionally, high altitudes.

Average annual salary: $37,640

Fishers and related fishing workers
Fatality rate: 80.8 per 100,000 workers; 22 total

Risk factors: Forget the idea of the leisurely fisherman. Fishers and fishing workers have, on average, some of the most dangerous jobs in the country. Malfunctioning gear, bad weather and transportation incidents all add to this profession's fatality rate, the 2nd highest in the country.

Average annual salary: $29,970

Roofers
Fatality rate: 47.4 per 100,000 workers; 83 total

Risk factors: It doesn't take a history in roofing to know the biggest danger is not a sunburn or a hammered finger. Falls are the leading cause of fatal injuries, while other nonfatal injuries, such as fractures, make general construction work among the most injury-prone jobs.

Average annual salary: $40,630

..."NostraCowboy" sees the future football players wearing Exo-Skeletons...made of a pure Titanium alloy... along with new and improved
"Wonder Helmets," almost eliminating series injuries of all types.
It's a little hazy, but looking further into the future...the NFL may become an all Robotic League..."The National Robotic Football League," or NRFL...:omg:
