What would it look like for a complete demolition and total rebuild?

Here is my two cents worth (I know it should be more with inflation but I am a traditionalist)

Tag and Trade Pickens
Trade Dak
Trade Lamb
See if we can get something for Osa

No one else really worth much to trade; would look at offers for Clark and Q

Release Steele
Clean out the Safety room and keep Revel and maybe Bland in the CB room
D line let Sam Williams go

Do not resign Davonte Williams

That is where I would start

work at getting as many picks for next years draft as it looks much more valuable

and find a QB that can really dodge a pass rush

2027: Manning.

I don't know if that is the way to do it. The cap hit on dumping everyone like that would likely make it not possible to start adding talent for a few years, about the time any draft picks the team collected needs a new contract.

And bring in Matt Millen as GM?

You really want to demolish everything? We just had a top offense. The defense isn't as bad as it looked this past year. I think you'll see a massive difference with a few more players added through the draft and (hopefully) FA, and of course, with a new competent DC.

What you want to do would mean that we are likely finishing last in the league, possibly winless. Any players we retain that are worth anything are likely going to be requesting trades. We will be drowning in dead cap. I'm not the biggest fan of Dak, but he is what we have at QB and with his contract, he's not going anywhere. My hope with him is that he puts it together and plays at the top of the game whenever we get back to the post-season, because honestly, that's the only choice.

Tearing down easy, building back not. Drafting a QB that’s realky goid is realky hard when you aren’t picking high and even then it’s hard

I understand the hypothetical, but Dak Prescott is not tradeable. Perhaps he decided to voluntarily accept a trade or retired instead..?

I dont disagree with much of this. You wont see a tear down and rebuild in Jerry's lifetime though. Besides the fact he has proven for decades he has no idea how, he only wants to be good enough to get constant media exposure. A 3 and 14 team wont get much media time which is basically his oxygen. More importantly players that come here quickly learn winning doesnt matter. Until ownership changes it is all just rearanging deck chairs. Watch DeMarcus Lawrence get a ring in a week. He said as much on his way out.

Sounds like you would destroy the team.

What I know is this….if Jerry wants to have some remote chance at a SB in his lifetime, it’ll need to be done while Prescott is still playing somewhere near the level he currently is.

Do it now or forget it. I don’t know that Stephen agrees, but if Jerry ever sees another SB it’s with Prescott at QB. Get at it. Now. Yes…overpay for free agents. That’s how it works.
