What would you consider a success and a failure next year in regards to Dak and Romo

1. Meaning what does dak and the team have to do to make you think this was best
2. If dak slumps would that effect your rooting of romo on Houston?
3. If Houston advances farther than dallas do you care?

Dak is here for the long haul. 1 bad season from him wont burn me from that.

SB or dont bother.

Failure, not making the playoffs.

Time to put the mediocrity to bed. Either get in the game to play for the SB or its time the fans just admit this organization is not about the SB anymore.

I'm rooting for Dak , although I'm not completely sold on him. I would've kept Romo made him starter another year but that ship has sailed. DAk is the guy now. If the cowboys are eliminated and Romo's new team is still in it , I'll root for him.

Success:
1. The front office needs to do something miraculous with Romo's cap savings, and if it's a player, then that player needs to have a great season in 2017
2. Dak needs to stay solid (i.e. no slump).

Failure:
1. FO fails to do anything worth noting with Romo's cap savings
2. Dak slumps in sophomore season
3. No deep playoff run

I don't think the answer changes no matter how this plays out.

We want to be competitive and win Super Bowls. We, being the Dallas Cowboys.

This team has been so far from success it's laughable. I have zero expectations due to twenty years of recent history. We had two #1 seeds in the past ten years and the team was one and done in both, and neither game was the QBS fault. That's what people don't get. Same bat time, same bat channel. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Romo wins a Super Bowl on another team.

I think there's a very real possibility that the FO doesn't use the cap savings *this* year.

If we do not goto the NFC championship game it will be a failure.
If we do not win one playoff game it will be a disasterous failure.
If we do not make the playoffs, it will be an epic failure. Garrett should be fired.

NFC championship game- success
Super Bowl - very successful season
Super bowl champions - Jerry gets a pass for 20 seasons of misery

I'll root for Romo like I did ware. meaning I won't follow him at all, and if he's in the SB (not playing against the Cowboys) I'll cheer for his team...

We are guaranteed failure no matter what happens. We will be taking a huge cap hit and apparently it doesn't end this year. We get to go through it again in 2018. Some other team gets a starting QB on their terms with none of the hostage negotiations we had to go through when signing him to the ridiculous contract that has hampered us for years, will hamper us again this year, and super annoyingly, will hamper us again in 2018. And we get zero for the investment. Jerry is an idiot!

Romo will take a huge following with him from our fan base. Dallas will wilt with a tougher schedule and failing defense. Dak will struggle under the weight of youth and Romo's shadow from afar.

So will Zeke also struggle with the weight of youth, or does that only apply to Dak and no one else?

Since becoming the head coach, Garrett has never fielded a team with a winning record in back to back seasons.

So 2017 is not looking too good fellas...................just saying
